I don't really follow football besides Juve and a bit of Celtic and since Juve haven't been competing at a top level for years I don't really know but I'm curious who people would put in their current world XI.

Who are the very top players around today? Besides Haaland and Mbappe I wouldn't know where to begin guessing.

Defense is not that easy.

But Goalie, attack and midfield is set in stone for me if we assume 433 (only alternative is Vinny for Salah, but Salah still a higher tier)

Mbappe - Haaland - Salah

De Bruyne - Bellingham

Rodri

LB - CB - CB - RB

Courtois

notice everyone he couldn't list any defenders? it's because he doesn't actually watch games he claims to watch. just watches a quick highlight on youtube for attackers and mids and gives "his" analysis

Inda getting super overrated here

Over the past couple of years, they beat Barca(in the groups) and teams Iike Porto, Benfica and Milan in the knockouts

Lost to City in the final and convincingly beaten by Bayern both home and away in the groups

They lost to Atleti last year in the knockouts and finished 2nd behind Real Sociedad in their group.

They've barely beaten a top 5 team in Europe over the past couple of seasons so it's pretty baffling to see them so high up the ranks.

Look at their bench options: Taremi, Arnautovic, Correa, Frattesi, Bisseck etc

Pales in comparison to teams like Madrid, City, Bayern, even Pool have players like Jota and Chiesa to come off the bench.

Not convinced until proven otherwise.

Tuz doing CL fantasy this season? I usually don't, but made a team this time due to the nature of league table over single groups.

This my team for first round (benching Saliba and Yamal cuz they play on thursday)
