We were eliminated by Lyon, Porto and Villareal in 3 consecutive seasons, hardly giants of the modern game.

We, as a club, have regressed, and we are definitely not in the top tier anymore - I honestly don't think we're a top 8 club in Europe.

You can be delusional and blindly optimistic if you wish, but a CL first-round exit is a distinct possibility. I rate our chances of finishing first @ 15% and 2nd @75%, but there's actually a real risk of elimination (I'd say 25%).
So a 115% chance that one of those scenarios happen?

The PSG president tried to storm into ref’s room after Champions League defeat by Real Madrid. Ref said he broke a linesman’s flag. Uefa took months to investigate before quietly clearing clearing Mr. al Khelaifi

On PSG and UEFA’s peculiar relationship.
Nasser al-Khelaifi, with Kylian Mbappé, is the president of P.S.G., a member of UEFA’s governing board and the chairman of its television partner beIN Sports.(Nyt times)

I'm just hoping to score tix to see my boys at the Estádio da Luz. From there I'll be hanging with a bunch of Benfiquistas, so I'm gonna be drunk and won't learn who won until the next day anyway.

Juventus Manager Massimiliano Allegri feels Juventus will “fight it out with Benfica” to join PSG in the knockouts.

“There are great difficulties in all the groups.” Allegri told Sky Sports Italia.

“We will fight it out with Benfica, who are a strong side.”

“It won’t be easy to play in Benfica, but we will go there and do our best. With PSG we will try to fight them to an even keel.”

Not too bad to have to face PSG in the first and last games of the group, i expect the first game to not be very pretty at all for us but at least there will be plenty of time and games in between to make up ground for and hopefully by the time the last game comes around we might both already be qualified for next round anyway.

Would have preffered us to have a fully fit and in-form Di Maria and Pogba available for the first game though as it would’ve likely been much more balanced this way, but it is what it is i guess.

It's better than Benfica first game without those guys in terms of those Benfica games being key

I agree, although i am also not happy about going for a potential submission job in Paris, nonetheless for us by far the Benfica games will sure be the most crucial ones where we need as many of our key players as possible to be available in order to be confident about getting all the points off them.

That's not necessarily a bad thing - by then, they may have already wrapped up qualification (even guaranteed 1st place) and they might bring their reserves to Italy.
Considering how much that Qatari asshole loves Agnelli I expect no favours whatsoever. And rest assured that the other asshole Seferin would suck his dick so that his team can send Juventus out.
