Atletico are a mess, they can barely get a back four and their mid has regressed since losing Saul and Partey. Simeone doesn't know what to do with their replacements. For utd, ronaldo is enough. Easy tie, fuck UEFA.

Lol I don't know how some ppl think we got an easy draw , we will lose and be eliminated especially the away goal role is not applied any more and we have to attack and score in both games

Why do we need to score in both games? If anything the removal of the away goal rule means that we don’t need to attack them in Spain.

IMO, easier than if we got Sporting before they had to reverse it. Juve seems uniquely qualified to get embarrassed by an overachieving side like Amorim’s.

This

Sporting are better than Villarreal imo, but let’s be honest, we’d struggle against either of them, knowing how profligate we are in front of goal and how we tend to underestimate teams of this level.

They will no doubt be two infuriating and agonising games win or lose.

By the time we play them, February 22, we will probably be out of the race for top 4, since we'll face Napoli, Milan, Roma and Atalanta (3 of them away) in Serie A in the opening 6 rounds of the 2nd part of the season.
My point is, we won't underestimate Villarreal, not only because they won EL half a year ago, but also because we'll have nothing else to play for in Italy and we'll be fully concentrated and motivated for these two matches against them.
Now, will we be good enough to eliminate them...? If we have a full squad, it's 50-50 imo.

It is potentially between napoli and juve for the 4th place.Though we need to sign a striker and midfielder to have a realistic chance.

Tici happened.

And you can’t blame them for being happy. They’ve gone from a 0% chance of progressing to a genuine 50% chance (if not more) considering we are one of the worst teams out of the group winners.
I blame us of course, three years ago, when u went to Real Madrid forum before the draw - all of them were hoping they dont get us and Bayern. Right now we are a laughing stock, this is really painful.
