My God, they are destroying them. What a team. That passing and movement...
Worse part is we would easily have knocked out that team if it wasn’t for Allegri. We had a chance to run them over the entire secosnd game, but our players looked out of gas. Kudos to this Ajax team, but they really aren’t that amazing. They’re a light version of the Riquelme Villarreal team at best.

Came into March with a half-dozen muscular injuries, and far too many exhausted and fatigued players. Allegri and his fitness staff made a mess of it this year.

only this year? That's more or less every year.
He says football is not complicated, and tactics are not really decisive. But he failed miserably in preparing his players too.

That’s also true. It will end up being us that gave them their hardest game and we should have knocked them out. Allegri is 100% to blame for this. The injury situation this season is even more ridiculous than usual.

Nah. People need to stop exaggerating and revising the past.

His first 3 years we peaked in the perfect time of year, both tactically and in terms of fitness. Sure we had the occasional injury (what team doesn't?), but we were mostly at full strength for the CL knockout run and in great shape. The last two seasons, the number of muscular injuries, out of form, and out of shape players in march was ridiculous.

It's not even just injuries. Half of our none-injured players looked like they couldn't run for 15 minutes, let alone 90, this year during the knockouts.
