I love this one:

Putin blames US for Georgia role
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7586605.stm

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused the US of provoking the conflict in Georgia, possibly for domestic election purposes.

Mr Putin told CNN US citizens were "in the area" during the conflict over South Ossetia and were "taking direct orders from their leaders".

He said his defence officials had told him the provocation was to benefit one of the US presidential candidates.

The White House dismissed the allegations as "not rational".

Heh, well I doubt the Russian Federation will let the same thing happen to them, which happened to ex-Yugoslavia. Look what happened in Chechnya.

Yugoslavia -> Break up to Serbia & Montenegro/Croatia/BiH/Slovenia/FYROM
Serbia & Montenegro -> Serbia
Serbia -> Decreased territory after Kosovo

Actually, it's Georgia that's going to break up, no?

Georgia minus the territories of South Ossetia, and Abkhazia. North Ossetia isn't an issue I guess since it lies in Russian mainland.

Expecting two new republics in the next few years then...

From a Lebanese perspective, this Russian intervention in Georgia reminds me alot of the Syrian intervention in Lebanon: They come in as a "peacekeeping force" but bomb, loot, cause chaos...

and this map is a big will of all civilized world :D
I doubt it is.
If the world has to choose between the break up of the Russian federation or USA, i'm pretty sure that the choice of the bigger part of the world will be the break up of the USA.

Both are impossible to happen, though, and it's better if it won't happen.

Not yet but who knows in the near future ;)

no it's not better, because with Russia's break up there will be less unpunished aggressors in the world

Rhizoid

Georgia has broken up a long time ago, since 1991-92 :(

and this map is a big will of all civilized world :D
I know Georgia is a country, I meant Georgia is going to decrease in territory if/when S. Ossetia and Abkhazia get independence.

How's the situation over at your end by the way? Hope all is ok, mate.

I understood, but they were de facto independent a long time ago and I assure you that nobody will recognize them as independent countries except Russia, which were de-facto fully controlling these territories all the time since 1992(and may be venezuela :D) so nothing really have changed and won't change

Yes it's relatively Ok, not taking into account some of Russian soldiers on our tarritory
