■Tevez absent for Man City training

The Argentine forward is back in hot water with current club Manchester City after failing to show up for training on Wednesday. Tevez was expected to attend but is back home in South America after being refused permission to return to his native country for a break. Man City's lawyers have been instructed to take action against the player for his latest breach of club discipline.

British bookmaker William Hill have opened a market on where Tevez will go next and have installed the Bianconeri as favourites at 3.75 followed by Brazilian outfit Corinthians at 5.0. Juventus have previously been linked with the wantaway striker but denied making a bid for the player last month when stories circulated that Tevez was on their radar.

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta told the media last month, "We are not the ones to discover Tevez. He is a great player and we are a great club so it's normal that there is a link, but to say that we are negotiating is a different matter."

Serie A clubs lead the betting markets with Milan (7.0) and Inter (7.0) also among the frontrunners to land him. Real Madrid are trading at 8.0 with an unlikely move to Arsenal a longer shot at 21.0.

Tevez has been frozen out of Manchester City since the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September where he refused to warm up. He has subsequently been fined and suspended by the Premier League leaders. On Tuesday it was reported he would not contest a misconduct charge relating to the incident at the Allianz Arena.

We're better off splashing the cash on a solid LB rather than Tevez, when our attack is the least problematic right now. (Although our finishing can be atrocious at times)
