I'd like to see you try convincing the people of Buenos Aires of that point ;)

I'd make the point that this years Libertadores has been much more entertaining and brimming with excitement than the CHL.

Need my nigga @X to back me up here.
Rather than being subjective, objectively the CL has the best players.

This is just a small point in the Tevez discussion anyway

Au contraire, this is the very cornerstone of the argument you were making. Tevez wants a place in the NT therefore Juventus > Boca. Which I don't believe is true, at all.

Yeah that isnt a very convincing argument at all considering argentinian players within their league recieve callups as it is.
it wudnt be hard for tevez to make it to wc 14 if he played for boca.

Provided he's in form ofc.
Exactly.

What happened to your spelling btw? :p

I've stopped responding to Baggio when he writes something like this - it has absolutely no relevance to my post. When he can't reply with anything he just jabs at my obsession with Borrigol - despite my current argument being valid to a certain extent.
The man has a work rate that can only be matched by Cavani. He has at least three more year's of WC football to offer, before which he will not leave Europe, and certainly not this year given the world cup. At 6-7m, he is a fucking steal. His immaturity and issues have largely stemmed with the lack of game time. Tevez will not face that issue at Juventus coz he will have nobody of his calibre in the attack.

The transfer fee will be about 7-10m less than Higuain's proposed 25m fee. If he shows form, Juve are contenders on three fronts. If he whines and has a seizure and burns the other side of his neck, then we can cut our losses and sell him for a negligible loss in transfer fee, given that he is DYING to go to Argentina, he'll accept wages offered there and bounce.

What's not to like in this deal? I'd take only Cavani, Suarez and Ibra ahead of Tevez.

Because their elite players are playing in Europe. Playing for Boca is not a negative when the NT coach starts selecting his team - it's just that Europe are purchasing the majority of great players from the various SA leagues.
So my point is proved, he has just as much of a chance in Europe as Boca considering he is an elite player. I haven't heard any Boca links and I don't think that will happen soon so if he wants to play in the WC his best chance is with Juve out of all the clubs he's linked with. If the only thing on his mind is money then he will go to Monaco, simple as that.

Are you being thick in purpose. Yes he has just as much chance to do that in Boca as Juventus - but he would rather play for Boca. And we've come full circle to the question of motivation to play for Juventus other than the dough at hand.

Jesus christ you'd think I was explaining the mind-body problem.

He's not the type of player that doesn't give his all on the pitch anyway, he always did for City and his problem was because of Mancini and game time so I don't think there would be any problems here if we kept him for 2-3 years then sold him for 10m or so to Boca.

Are you seriously going to argue the impact off money on tevez decisions, and compare to higuain, who is on a relatively small contract ?

Please, i'm certain you dont mean this
I'm sure he's on at least 5m or so a year. Not a small figure.

It's not even true that Tevez is motivated by money anyway, considering he wants to play at Boca more than anywhere else and I doubt they would offer him anywhere close to what he earns at City. He said City won't let him go to Boca because City wants more than Boca can afford.
