Milan need to sign a good midfielder or two rather than signing a striker, or they will continue to get dominated in the middle by good teams.

Bah, I really don't care if Milan sign Tevez. Their attack is world class already.

As long as they don't sign Ganso, Fabregas and players who will seriously improve their midfield, they can buy whoever they want in attack, except Ronaldo and Messi.

Very true, it clearly showed against Barca. I thought they would try to get one of Ganso/Hamsik. They already have good attackers.

:agree:

Though I'm not entirely convinced by Ganso.

Never mind against Barca, Juve's midfield utterly annihilated Milan's.

Their lack of mobility in that area was also exposed when Napoli repeatedly tore them apart on the counter.

While I agree with Milans main weakness (btw, a Ganso wouldnt do much to help that, orchestrate attacks yes, but Milans midfield lacks mobility, not creativity perse), they would still be fucking signing Tevez, who is a topnotch attacker and hungry to showcase himself, they would be raking in the 3pts in random average games that they might not usually win, with a combination of Ibra and him.

Milan will beat those teams with or without Tevez. Look at them lately how easily they beat the weaker teams. But with or without Tevez they will struggle the same against the more organized teams who can win the midfield.
Ibra, Pato and Robinho are more than enough to guarantee 2 goals at least per match against the smaller teams.

As great as Tevez is, he won't be a drastic improvement, simply because the others in Milan's attack are just as great.

Actually, IF signing Tevez means that they won't sign a great and expensive midfielder, then I am all for it. It will suck if they sign Tevez in addition to an expensive midfielder.

Btw, their wage bill will go sky high.

Who do you think would be a good signing for them in the midfield?

I would say the best attacking due in the world at the moment.

They should do everything they possibly can to get De Rossi to replace Van Bommel.

They need a good all-round player (Marchisio would be ideal for them) to play on one side of the diamond.

The other player depends on who plays as trequartista. With Boateng as trequartista, an Aquilani type player is the right sort of player to have. If they were to sign Ganso, they'd need more of a runner (Vidal, for instance).

Even if I agree to an extent the point you are making, you are underestimating the fire power of Tevez, which is not as "great" as what they have, but better. Pato, Cassano and Robinho are not on his level. They are more then enough to punish small teams, even if Cassano and Pato are out of commission mainly, but still, would be bit of a bump in quality to get Tevez. But I agree, aslong as Milan doesnt improve their hapless midfield, and keep their improvements to likes of Aquilani (they need a hardworking allround dynamic midfielder, and not pansies like Aquilani, or their aged dinosaurs like VB, Ambro or even the cool Seedorf).

Yeah, De Rossi. I don't think it'd be hard for Milan to get him.

Do you rate Nocerino?

I bet he goes inter.

Btw, wherever he goes, I hope this thread remains open because I'm sure there will be a lot more episodes of Tevez' childish tantrums to talk about.
And I'm sure those who wanted Tevez at Juve will rub it in the face of those who didn't.

Not really.

Aside from his lack of ability, he plays too wide in the diamond, which causes him to get in the fullback's way. He should be deeper and narrower to allow the overlap and be in a position to offer cover.

He's a perfectly okay squad player - I'd take him over Flamini, for instance - but he's not really up to starting for a top team.
