Club career

Carlos Eduardo came through alongside Lucas Leiva in the Brazilian youth teams. Carlos Eduardo was spotted first by a Real Madrid scout in 2005, but Real Madrid decided not to sign him as they thought he would need time to adapt to Spanish football.
In the 2007 Copa Libertadores Carlos Eduardo made it to the final, when his team Grêmio lost to Boca Juniors. He showed clever footwork, rapid turns and dangerous crosses from the left wing, scoring one goal in the Copa Libertadores.
He had three appearances for Brazil U20.
On 29 August 2007 he moved for a 2. Bundesliga record transfer fee of €8 million to 1899 Hoffenheim.[1] On 4 May 2008 Carlos Eduardo received a three game suspension after video evidence showed him kicking 1. FC Köln player Roda Antar in the face.[2]
In August 2010 he was transferred to the Russian premier champions Rubin Kazan for a fee of €20 million over 18 months.[3]

On 27 October 2009 he earned his first call up for the Seleção.[4]
After the injuries of Luís Fabiano and Elano, Carlos Eduardo and Grafite were brought into the squad against Republic of Ireland. He played that match as a substitute.
Dunga used all the players of Ireland match to form the 23-men provisional 2010 FIFA World Cup squad, except dropped Adriano and Carlos Eduardo, and added Luís Fabiano, Elano and Gomes back to the squad.
Carlos Eduardo remained in the squad, but as one of the seven backup players,[5] for the main squad.

That is a lot cash, seems like lies. Does anyone know about him? Is he better than Krasic lol? We got him for a lil less.

Rubin only got him last summer, and he was injured alot last season, hard to see them being so willing to sell him already. But yeah he is pretty good player. Creative, quick and excellent dribbling.

He was a promising player, went to germany, but a low team
people didnt knew vidal to, yet he was pretty hot last season

then he goes to russia and that league no one is following except championsleague
the fact he went for 20 mil is interesting tho

A very good player, as i am a hoffe fan, he was the creative force, but he is not a natural winger. He is an attacking midfielder. His passing is impressive. Also able to play as a mc. I was so upset that he left hoffenheim, cuz he and luiz gustavo were one of the best tandems in midfield in bundesliga. Its probably a bs, but i hope its true. Fast as well. And a very good dribbler
