But lets be honest ? is that a red card ?
I think a player deserves a red card for doing something like that. Don't know what the rules say. It probably would have been easier to give a red had the Monaco player gotten to the ball first.

It's so refreshing that the European media is not obsessing over this incident like their Italian counterparts would.

ref could have seen no intention and instead him falling on the ball. if ref sees it as intentional then red
but it was obvious. actually i was amazed that he just received a yellow. very reckless from chiellini. so we have a slip then goal in BvB and a slip then red card against Monaco.

yeah, i was watching the ref approaching and waiting to pull that card. was also surprised it was a yellow.

but here is the deal . we now not only control italian refs, european refs are our too. Beppe has officially surpassed Moggi now. as a bonus, we are getting easy opponents because we now control the official draw too. now you know what all those mercatos finishing in + were for :beppe:

but seriously, it can be as obvious as possible to us, the ref and the linesman (i assume he saw it better?) saw it different. maybe some player was blocking the refs sight for a few seconds so he couldnt tell 100% and decided to go with the less game changing decision...
