It seems odd the club haven't yet given a time out for his injury? Is it because of the market in January and they don't want teams knowing we're desperate?

How Long Will a Calf Strain Take to Heal?

The length of time needed for healing a calf strain depends on the severity of the injury. A typical grade I calf strain will heal in 7 to 10 days, a grade II injury within about 4 to 6 weeks, and a grade III calf strain within about 3 months. The most common injury is a grade II calf strain that takes about 6 weeks for complete healing.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jem

Would have been useful to have Chiellini available to play at Parkhead.

Unlikely Juve will have to defend much in Turin, so Chiellini missing the second game wouldn't be the end of the world as far as I'm concerned.
