Official: Chiellini pens new contract
It is official that Giorgio Chiellini has renewed his Juventus contract until June 2015.

There was a meeting this evening at the club headquarters to finalise the negotiations which have been going on for months.

According to Sky Sport Italia, those present included Chiellini, his agent, director general Beppe Marotta, President Andrea Agnelli and lawyer Michele Briamonte.

It was confirmed the deal has been struck to extend until June 2015 with a basic salary of €3.5m plus performance-related bonuses.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]The Vice-President of the Italian Footballers' Association Leonardo Grosso believes Giorgio Chiellini's new Juventus contract might be invalid.

Chiellini's five-year deal worth €3.5m a season, which he penned last night, is quite revolutionary in that it includes clauses regarding the clothes he wears, his Twitter updates, and nightclub appearances.

However, Grosso insists that given the ongoing dispute regarding the players' collective bargaining agreement with the League, it might well be worthless and need doing all over again.

“The opinion of the Italian Olympic Committee's High Court of Justice underlined that new contracts should make reference to the old collective agreement, which expired on June 30 and that schemes pre-established by only one of the disputed parties [i.e the Lega or the AIC] could not be followed,” Grosso said.

Well, contract issues aside... in fact is good to see another Agnelli at the helm of the club. It should be this way. Lets hope he will be around for a lot of years bringing success to the club like his antecessors.

He is very young and full of passion.

Chiellini's agent said that theres no problem with his contract...

BTW, its just me who think that is stupid that player assosiation complains that his contract may not be valid even when Chiellini agreed to the contract?

The contract is typical old school Juve, you represent the club 24/7, I would expect all the contracts that the new management have done would have the same rules
