Barzagli was always a very good defender..He just had a bad last year or so at Wolfsburg..Whereas defenders like Bocchetti are just plain average.Not sold on Campagnaro either..

Ogbonna would be the ideal option but he's way too expensive..Should try for Yanga M'Biwa perhaps(he's a left footed player too which helps) but i really have my doubts.

No need for a starting replacement, its only a few months. Give Caceres the chance he deserves, if anything sign a backup just incase, considering that with Lucio's departure we will only have Marrone as cover

Come on, you know he wasn't. I don't really remember much positive from him at Palermo (uncomfortable and error prone) despite the potential he had for years, and while he was better in Germany he still was nowhere near the assertive and commanding player he currently is.

There's a reason why Juve signed him so simply two years ago.

In Serie A we can survive. In CL, legs will be played in 12 and 20feb. Exactly 2 months from now. If we are lucky, he'll play both of them. I'm sure this will be his goal. He's an iron willed guy, I'm sure he'll make it.

Was just hoping Bocchetti or Campagnaro are not the ones to replace him and i felt like Salvatore implied that in his post..I assumed Bocchetti would be the next Barzagli-esque signing according to him.

Which i hope isnt the case.

Instead of buying a mediocre backup,we could as well buy young quality defender to rotate no ?It wouldnt hurt would it ,i mean it could be one of the future as well considering Barzagli will turn 32 next year and Chiellini with his recurring injury problems.
