Agreed, he can never be the leader of a defence.
He never will.

Look at the 2-2 goal from last night. He has no idea what's going on, and looks like a complete tosser, when Pellisier runs in behind him.

If he stays at Juventus he needs to play at LB. He's simply not good enough to play in the middle, if we ever want to play for major honours again.

Lol, he might not be the leader of defence like canavaro was, but not being good enough? If he had someone who would organice the defence and he was just left with defending... well that would be a joy to watch.

The only funny thing about Chiellini is, that he could give away goals in every single match, and most Juventus supporters would still consider him one of the best defenders in the world.

Give goals away? Ok, one thing being biased, but saying this is just retarded. Whole team is messed up, with Del Neris defensive organisation I think many great defenders would look lost at times, but to suggest that with a good def leader near Chielini and a better def organisation as a whole he would still suck. Thats just nonsense, because we have seen what he is capable.

:agree:

he was at his best when he was with Legro who controlled the defence, himself or Bonucci are not yet capable of leading the defence and will not work together until they learn whats required and we get a coach who knows what the hell he's doing

he will never be the organiser, so it is futile to expect him to play that way.

when Bonucci becomes mature, they will be a very fine pairing.

I agree.
He is capable of marking any player out of a game, but when it comes to organizing a whole defensive line like Terry, Cannavaro, Rio,and etc he just fails miserably.
hopefully we invest in proper backs to solidify the D-line, and Bonucci grows into that position since he looks more calm out there, has a better first touch to start building up the attack from our area, and both of them complement each other. It's going to take time, and investing in LB and RB positions. A major problem we have that our CB's always have to look out and baby sit our backs, which leads to plenty of holes and bad positioning in the D line, once we work this thing out, the D line should be hopefully good to go
