If i remember correctly barca found him in argentina and offered the kid a chance so they brought him to barca along with his family , think he was 7 or 8 at the time, so he's a barca youth product, just like xavi, puyol and valdes

Messi is not gonna happen. Barca won't even think about selling him, and Capello has mentioned nothing like "want to have him".

He impressed during the U20-WC and is about to impress more, but surely with the Barca squad...

Must give some credit to the one who scouted Messi who was just 7 or 8 at that time....

Messi is one of the most exciting young player in the world now and could shoot himself into stardom if he got his chance 2 play in wc06...i dun think he is overrated..Beckham is overrated but not Messi, he is a wonder kid, u should see him played in under 20 world cup...where amazingly he won the Golden ball and golden boot award, that shows u how good he is..
well, i am sure there r a lot of young kids with extreme football talent everwhere in d world..mayB juve can send out scouts to look for some??

He's at the age where you can play him anywhere and see where he ticks best.. remember Zambrotta wasn't always a left-back.. ;) (though that's a bad example.. he was quite older when he made the switch..:totti: )
