if there is any truth in this at all, i dont think i would be able to watch juve play this season. we are becoming a retirement village...we already have iuliano, montero, pessotto...add desailly to it...bring hierro over as well...

the only old defender who deserves to be there and has impressed me is Ferrara.

Desailly isnt that bad, he was important for Chelsea last year. And he is obviously free, but that Capello wants him is just bullshit, i dont believe it. Ferrara is better than Desailly.

For short time solution is good. This year we need to do something. Desailly was a good player. I don't know. If he is free, then it is not a bad solution, at least for this season.

even for a short term solution he is bad. free or not, he isnt needed at teh club...another 30 plus year old defender way past it.

I'd rather bring in a youth defender and play them instead...at least they can only get better and learn unlike desailly who will only deteriate.

Bloody hell, there's some truth in these !
Skysports reports:

Juventus coach Fabio Capello has targeted former Chelsea man Marcel Desailly for the coming season, but will face competition from several clubs.

Desailly is currently without a club after leaving Chelsea this summer, but several sides are hoping that he will continue playing for another season.

Manchester City have been linked with the powerful defender, but Capello is hoping to convince Desailly that a return to Italy would suit him.

Juventus have been desperate to strengthen their defence since they were held to a 2-2 draw by Djurgardens in the UEFA Champions League qualification round in Turin.

Capello believes that Desailly would bring the experience and quality he needs to mount a successful campaign in both Italy and Europe.

I thought it was a joke before, but now think of it Capello did coach him at Milan, so I would imagine this story is true.
