totally true,monaco scraped through thanks to the brilliance of Giuly. But would chelsea have gone for Didi if they won?? I think they would have.

Jose would be a fantastic juve manager, he already sets his team up like a juve team.

Yeah I tend to agree. They went for Jose the minute they'd won that game, so could well have been awaiting the outcome. Which would have paved the way imo for a Juve bid, if Moggi had anything about him (as everyone thinks he's such a genius )

Jose would also revolutionise calcio, which could only have been a good thing

There is no doubt this current team is perfectly cut out for someone like Jose Moronho. However, I'd have to say I dont see Capello bringing the kind of revolutionary sucess Lippi brought to Turin. What was so great about Marcello? Balancing the team, despite having some fine talent, he knew how to rotate the squad well enough and at the same time keep them motivated. After all, I dont think we could've owned the CL for three years running, not to mention the Scudetto successes if it wasnt for the class of Marcello Lippi.

Someotimes I wonder if Capello trains the team to attack. I never saw our players with a plan in attack, even when we score more than two goals. I actually wonder sometimes if he gives the team any plan at all.

A few questions, one has been repeated...why Nedved?
One from last night's game, why Zambrotta was on the right and Pessotto on the left? Couldn't he move Zambrotta to the right WHEN Chiellini goes in, or his mind capability cannot function that far?

The worst thing that can be said about Capello, a coach managing one of the heaviest squads in the world. He is limited, or at least shows how limited he is. When his team is not delivering he changes players only, take out Pessotto and include Chiellini in the same position. He gives all the blame on his players and at the same time he does not change tactics or formation, why? It is either he's too dumb to do that or simply he doesn't know it.

I have seen comebacks in football, I will never see them when Capello is coaching.

I agree, Jeeks. We look so clueless in attack. So slow.

With the current squad at Capello's disposel, there is no excuse for these lacklustre performances. We move the ball around so nonchalantly and slowly. Before we even get close to the other team's goal area, so many minutes have passed and their entire defence is regrouped. The only way to attack then, is to send in a cross into a crowded box.
With an Ibrahimovic unable to head any ball decently though, those crosses are wasted. Half of the crosses will be defended against anyhow.
Nedved never even crosses the ball. Nedved has lost the ball, after thinking an half hour about what to do, the following second he stumbles over his own feet.

Nedved is besides my point though. As the players, we have, should be the least of our problems. Copying what you said, Jack; I wonder if Capello trains the team to attack. Look at the names of our offensive players: Trezeguet, Del Piero, Mutu, Nedved, Zalayeta, Camoranesi and even Olivera. You can't tell me these players aren't good enough to create at least one goal chance in an entire half ?!(We had 0 shots at goal vs Milan).

I often wonder, why Capello keeps clinging unto Nedved and Ibrahimovic among others. Maybe Capello is afraid of the 'name', intimidated by their reputation. Even with Emerson or Vieira, hypothetically he would never sub any of these, even how much a change of tactic is needed in the middle of a game.
Don Fabio rather plays the big named underperformer, instead of the in-form (tactic changing)'humbler' player.

It has been said time and time again though on this forum, it's Capello's tactics that are making us suffer. 0 Shots at goal ! Not even one shot OFF TARGET, in an entire half! With these players, Capello should be ashamed. Blaming it on luck, that's so cheap and weak.

Another point altogether:
With all these relatively easy wins against the smaller clubs so far this season, and last season in part, I feel we have lost the ability to suffer in a match. We succumb, when our teams is under pressure. Compare this season's Bayern loss to last season's win against Bayern, what a contrast. Also under Capello, we rarely ever get back into a match. After conceding a goal, we're down and out. A psychological problem?

Anyway, enough for Capello to work on..

What I cant get over is how he said that he found out how 'great' Juve was after the game. If he thinks this was a great Juve, I fear we're only going to get greater come Bayern Munich. What an unfortunate mindset.

What was so good about Lippi?

1)He went to derbies ready to face the opponent, not to stay back and see what he can do.

2)The team was balanced with perfect organised defence and with good attack.Our team was not cut in 2 pieces

3)He belived in young players and his subs were logical

4)As for Del Piero, he played because he was good.The only year when Lippi started DP who was out of form was 2004.In 2003 he was surely very good and what to say for his first years(95-98).

5)In the end our team under Lippi coud press the opponents hard and chesed the win.Now if concede first it's to hard to come back.

6)Simply think in how many derbies Capello was good.Only Against Real and against Milan last year.

so everybody now is blaming capello , ok he did not do good in this game but also a lot of blame go for the players , noone performed more than 20% of his capability.
