Capello quits, report claims


A Spanish radio station has claimed that Fabio Capello has handed in his resignation as Real Madrid boss.

Cadena Cope insist that the Italian tactician met President Ramon Calderon on Monday where he offered to quit.

The club have yet to make an official statement regarding the speculation.

Capello has been under intense pressure in recent weeks and Real dropped more points at the weekend in a 0-0 draw with Real Betis.

Capello only rejoined the Liga giants in the summer after spending two years with Juventus.

Real Madrid are set to play Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
