Yes, but he makes Juve arrive at the finals 4 times in 8 years. That is consistence at the highest level and give us the numbers to call Juve and Lippi the most succesful european team and coach of the last decade....

Last season he was. The season before he at least got us to the final what was a hell of a lot closer than what Capello managed to do this year. Juventus should always be in the semis at least.
We lost a heartbreaker to the eventual winner, just like in 2003.

No we didn't. We were horrible against Liverpool and never performed like we should have. Granted Zlatan and Cannavaro could have scored, but overall it was an extremely bad performance. Nowhere near a heartbreaker. It never looked like we were going to score. And why oh why, with two minutes to go, would you pull off Camoranesi?

We have hardly always under-performed. We managed to reach the final for three consecutive times. Think about, we played every game there is to play bar the preliminaries in the Champions League for three seasons.

But as so many people area always telling me, trophies at what makes a successful team, if that is the case, then Juventus arent successful in the Chamions League.

No but Nicole is right. We have underachieved - by that she means, we, unlike Roma, could and should have won the Champions League more than we have. Thats a fair observation according to me.

True. But that's not always underperforming. We underperformed in those finals, but not in the Champions League as a whole.

Of course, on the whole i think we've done as well as the Milans, Madrids and Liverpools of the world. Just that we've made it seem unlike that, by losing in the finals 60% of the time.

I'm still bitter about the final against Real. That was offside by a mile. And the game against Dortmund was no better. Why oh why didn't del Piero start that one?

Ultimately uou have to put it into context. You do underperform in a competition you can win...Juve, Real, Barca, Valentic, Milan, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern etc etc ALL dont perform if they dont win the Champions League.

So, according to you, in every season only one team actually perfoms in the Champions' League?
