IMO Thuram and Montero were more important and consistant than him and they were younger as well.
fair enough thuram and zambro had a big part as well but ferrara's intelligent game was just a great asset to the stability of the team.In most game he didnt put a foot wrong and that offside trap was just a lesson every game. He lead that line to perfecition.

FFS We bought Belardi as a 3rd choice keeper. Every club has 3 goalkeepers. If Buffon gets injured for a long time, who will be Mirante´s reserve option?

I don´t know what is so strange about it, we probably paid peanuts for Belardi.

Adnan, I agree.

Fabio Cannavaro has admitted he is tempted by the idea of returning to former club Juventus. “I will decide at the end of the season,” he stated.
The defender joined Real Madrid last summer in a £16m deal with Emerson after the Bianconeri’s demotion to Serie B, but he still has a close bond with the Turin giants.
“At the end of the present campaign I will sit down with the club officials and serenely discuss the situation,” stated the Golden Ball winner to Tuttosport. “Only then will I decide on what to do.”
The Turin-based newspaper also reports that Cannavaro’s decision may depend on Fabio Capello’s future with the Merengues.
If the Pieris Coach were to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the season, the player’s return to the peninsula might not be fantasy football.
Cannavaro, who is contracted to Real Madrid until 2009, misses his homeland and is keen to clear the air with the Old Lady fans who saw his exit as a betrayal.
“I feel that I need to clarify my position with them,” he allegedly told a close friend.
“I spent two amazing years in Turin, they supported me and I became their idol. I will never forget them, all the rest is just a big misunderstanding.”
The 34-year-old is still highly considered by the Bianconeri and his experience could be of massive use to the younger elements of the squad.
However, a move back to Juve would require him to lower his £3.2m a season salary which he currently demands.
Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco was reportedly in Spain on Thursday, but no negotiations have taken place over the Italy captain.
Cannavaro’s admission comes just weeks after Emerson also opened the door to a possible Bianconeri return.
