    :D ... I expected such a reaction, I should've explained more.
My friends and I are planning a summer vacation during the first two weeks of July. One of the destinations that popped up during our debate on where to go was Canaries. So I wanted to know about it more since I've never been there before.
If we go there it will be for 1 week only. So would like to know more about it. Is it advisable to go there or not?
If I go to a tourist advisor I will get this reaction "yes ofcourse, any place you want to go we can gain money outta yo @$$"..
Thought I should ask you guys around here since we all come from different places and have been around on different vacations.

I have heard good things about the Canary Islands.

Never been myself but it should be nice.

I haven't heard as many good things, IMO. Archipelagos are cool, but I didn't get the impression that the Canary Islands were as good to visit as the Gimnesias (Mallorca, Menorca and Cabrera) and Pitiusas (Ibiza y Formentera). Or even Madeira.

The Canary Islands are perhaps best known for great beaches, an ugly sea of tourist hell humanity in shoddy buildings, and the worst airline disaster in the history of the world. Not entirely high on my list I guess... ;)

Do you mind telling more about it? If you have pictures that would be great.

I have at home, will post it as soon as i get there. Cape Town & Durban here in RSA is wonderful at this time of year although Cape Town has a more cosmopolitan vibe to it.
