Of course he does. You are comparing a player who has never been capped as a full international, and hence has done nothing for the NT to a Camoranesi who is an indespesable fixture on the right wing for Lippi, and Trappatoni before him. Italy has no alternative to Camo at the moment, and has not for several years. I hope that we don't have to learn this the hard way.
Yep. I don't get this Camo bashing TBH. I like the guy, I think he's world class and I believe he has shown this lots of times over the years. Sure, he might be hot headed, but his assist rate is incredible. Not to mention how he singlehandedly destroyed Germany in that memorable friendly.

I think what we are forgetting in this mini debate is the simple fact that.. we are comparing a proven player with an unproven player. Camo has been great for the national team and his club, marchionni hasnt had a chance at national level just yet. As for his club, well you cant really compare a player like marchionni this season to camo simply because Camo has been the biggest assister for the eventual champions in italy, not only that but has shown his qualities at european level too. Marchioni hasnt yet, but is more promising to chose a promising player over a well established proven and consistent player is certainly insane, marchionni can learn a lot from camo. A player can become great technically by using his head, camo has adapted that through his days at Juve, Marchionni is not at the same level. As for physical pace well its obvious marchionni is faster but you cant really blame camo for that, nevertheless camos technical ability would certainly in my eyes out do marchionnis pace. In my eyes its technical football that wins matches and not exactly pacey ones. To know what you can do with a ball is certainly greater than to just run past players.. Note I aint saying marchionni doesnt know what to do but he certainly can learn a hell of a lot from camo.
