Mauro Camoranesi is likely to leave Juventus at the end of the season following the arrival of Marco Marchionni, his agent revealed today.

Juve won the race to sign Parma winger Marchionni earlier this month and the promising 25-year-old’s capture is likely to spell the end of Camoranesi’s days at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

"It would be typical of Juve’s transfer policy to let Camoranesi leave," Andrea Pastorello told the Guerin Sportivo magazine. "An offer in the region of £10m would doubtless be accepted by the Bianconeri directors.

"It has happened in the past with other important players," he added. "Camoranesi is highly-regarded by Milan, but also by Inter, who are known for their interest in wide men.

"Then it’s worth pointing out that Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on him," continued Pastorello. "I’ve not had any interest so far from Manchester United or any other English clubs, though."

The Argentina-born Italy international joined Juve in 2002 and, despite winning two League titles since, has had mixed fortunes this season under Fabio Capello, who has frequently substituted the winger during matches, much to the 29-year-old’s obvious frustration.

Marchionni’s agent, meanwhile, explained that the Parma star will be wearing the Old Lady’s famous black and white shirt next season.

"We have agreed terms on a five-year deal," said Bruno Carpeggiani. "Inter, Roma and Fiorentina were all after him.

"We have also been given assurances from Turin that he will not be used as a make-weight in any other transfer deals."

Marchionni isn't even confirmed yet. And besides, Camoranesi will play in the starting XI next season for sure even if Marchionni does come. So there isn't really a reason for him to leave.

It probably is true, and it wouldn't be surprising at all. He's 29, has a great season behind him and he won't get any better. Thus his value won't be any higher than it is right now. As much as I like Camo, I think it's a pretty good deal for Juventus since Camoranesi somewhat limits Capello's tactical options and it can only mean a big name is coming in the summer with he money that we'll get from this transfer.

I also doubt that Marchionni is brought to Juve to rot on the bench, or that he'll be reschooled to left mid. Either he'll be used in a deal or be used on the field.

Could this be a tactic of Camo's manager to get more money?

I dont want Camo to leave, he is the key in our midfield and brings the only creative spark that we have

    How's that?
Capello's a great fan of playing with wingbacks in a five man midfield as he showed in Roma. Unfortunately Camoranesi doesn't fit into that kind of system. Neither is he a traditional winger in a four man midfield making runs up and down the flank. Most of his assists are made from the deep right, a central position or set pieces. I have nothing against this personally but it's obvious that he isn't the kind of player needed for a Capello style Juventus.

While some of u may think that the article is BS, I somehow feel that this will happen, the same way in which Zidane and Inzaghi will be sold. This is about business, and Juventus will profit upon the sale for other reinforcements. As Mark said about Marchionni, it seems inevitable that Camo will be sacrificed under Capello.
