Category: General

Mauro Camoranesi’s agent has hit out at Juventus after the club told him to negotiate a transfer to Lyon before blocking the move.

“After the World Cup, we had offers from Valencia and Lyon,” Sergio Fortunato told the Radio Radio network.

“As a result I went to Turin to speak with [Roberto] Bettega and the other officials. They told me to go and talk to Lyon which is what I did.

“I also agreed terms for a transfer until Juventus decided to close the doors to players who wanted to leave.”

The Turin giants declared Camoranesi, and his other colleagues, as untouchable after they had sold Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson.

“We were a little perplexed because they [Juventus] sent me all the way to Lyon,” added the representative.

“Camoranesi has no motivation or desire to go and play in Serie B. He is a world champion and it is not right that he should play in the second tier.

“Once he returns from vacation then he will speak to the club and a decision on what to do next will be made.”

The Argentine-born Italian World Cup winner has been linked with Roma recently, a move which surprises Fortunato.

“I know nothing about that option,” he added. “The time has now arrived for everything to be made clear.

“The fact that Juventus are in B is not down to us. The club have already let a Coach and six players go, but then shut the door for the others. Why?”

Source: Football Italia

It's very clear that we should let him go...

I like Camo, 2 seasons ago he was one of our best players, but if he wants to leave that badly then just let him go. We've got Marchionni who can take over his spot on the right flank.

It's not a strong team...!?!?!? What do u mean...!?!?!? We have the strongest squad in Seria B....! The young players are motivated to get a chance and shine! Totally disagree with u...! We'll be back...! Forza Juve...! Just get rid of the players who don't wanna play for us...!

maybe its strong enough for serie b but never for serie a
and i don't know how we'll get players like camo back in 1 year.
i don't know about our financial situation so if we have not enough money next year we can't buy new players but we need these in serie a

Our financial situation will take years to stabilize, it's not like climbing back to A will restore our status in the topflight with great revenues from sponsors and media, which is why we should start introducing young talents in B, and when we get back to A we can sell/loan them to buy back some world class players.

At the very least it'll take Juve 5 years to recover financially (if not more).

I would NEVER EVER hold back a player who clearly stated in public press that he has no motivation whatsoever to play for his team. Can't understand deschamps in this situation. In my opinion we should sell him and get something for our (defensive) midfield. And not again someone from the U20 or so. I totally support the attitude of bulduing a new squad out of youngsters but you have to consider one thing; Even if they are motivated to the top, and even if they have a certain talent, u need to have experience. Okay we have del piero and nedved but thats not enough. And you have to be aware that such a tough and physical play as in serie b (i saw some games... there were scenes which had nothing to with fotball anymore) is not necessarily suited for young tempered players.

I read all the opinions, and always it seems"Get rid of him or something similar".
Up to which level? When we lost every and last player. And be replaced by who.
Who got anything theta players that departed are not true Juventino's ?
People we are loosing whole team, squad, understand? It will take us ages to bild a proper team.I do not care what other means ,this is one and only fact.BHad,bad, bad

I totally agree with you on that point; but thats how its supposed to be. IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE that we get back after one season and get the scudetto the year afterwards - this is simply part of our punishment. It will take us some years until we are ompetitive on the finanacial aspect again anf then again, it will not be done! Then we have to buy people and with clubs like chelsea as transfer competitors, it won't be that easy to get the real stars.
So, people i'm afraid to tell you but i fear all those of you who are planning to celebrate the scudetto in 2007/2008-season will be disappointed. It's clear (and even the players say this to the press) that the main objective is to get back to serie a and believe me, this will be hard enough!!
dukowski is right when he says that we are loosing our whole team and he is right. But that's how it was supposed to be. That's what makes the trial sentence so hard.

i think its clear that we can't win the 2007/08 scudetto. but if we have a chance to keep players like camo why should we let him go? and now our managment is starting to sell our youngstars like palladino. where is the system? to sell the stars and the youngstars?

According to the missemo cup matches zalayeta played in Trez's position and bojinov as a winger so it wont be the case for Trez

as for Camo he can play as a right winger and marco on the left

or nedved on the left Marco on the right and Camo as an attacing mid

i dont think its a position problem .. if it was the club wouldnt have hold him they way they did . its about the club pressuring him to stay
