Just read the link. It said what I wrote up top but added that on page 84 to 85 the judge declares that there was no proof of the accusations made against Moggi and Juventus in 2006 but that the calls and meetings demonstrated a social familiarity between Moggi and the designators that was unprofessional. I guess the fact that the designators were on the phone with everyone in Italy went over their heads much like the fact that it was entirely legal at the time.

Moggi will get it overturned on appeal and no one will care.
But, dont you think this is good for the strategy of asking civil damage as AA has been saying? the "disparitá di tratamento"?
I am trying to get which is AA strategy in this.

I can tell your tone has changed, Gsol. :D

You are slowly becoming more optimistic, even if you don't realize it. But I do. :D
Optimistic is a strong word but I am happy that Juve not cheating has been proven. It's unfortunate that few realize it.

One thing does need to be said. The judge not only explicitly states that the theories of 2006 have no proof, she states that Moggi's verdict is based on the presence of the Swiss SIMs which is a positive note for two reasons.

    1) The argument has been dismantled in another trial and thus, can be dismantled again on appeal.

    2) Those who remember the chronology of calciopoli know that the Swiss cards emerged after the initial verdict which saw Juventus relegated and stripped of titles. In other words, the decision to punish Juventus in 2006 was wrong because the only point the PMs have left is something that had nothing to do with the original verdicts in the first place.

Agnelli has a very valid argument at his disposal. It's Italy though...good luck.

    Such bullshit :inter:

I hope Moggi can manage this pile of rotten garbage on appeal. So, as it looks right now, there is not one reason to have had our 04-05 title taken away from us, is that right? Not in any trial, hearing, ruling and what crap have you? At least that is what I understand. And still, this is no major sports news, right? :sergio:

Guys, could you please shed light on this jibberish:

«Né può essere trascurato il dato del ridimensionamento della portata dell’accusa che deriva dalla parzialità con la quale sono state vagliate le vicende del campionato 2004-2005, per correre dietro soltanto ai misfatti di Moggi, dei quali sono state accertate modalità, quanto alle frodi sportive, al limite della sussistenza del reato di tentativo, con conseguente ulteriore difficoltà di aggancio alla responsabilità del datore di lavoro»
