Moggi faces six-year sentence

-----------------------

Wait, what? :wth:
Nothing article.

I accuse you of killing someone, so you could face a life sentence.

Means fuck all if you aren't found guilty.

Football-Italia are such cocksuckers. Not writing a thing about Calciopoli all year when they said it was all BS. When something bad comes up against Moggi BOOOOM there it is.
This isn't even something bad happening.

It's just their way of saying the trial is ongoing.

I think Reds right, This is not like what it sounds :

NAPLES, Italy (AP)—Magistrates in Naples have recommended that former Juventus executive Luciano Moggi be sentenced to five years, eight months in prison for his role in the 2006 match-fixing scandal.

Moggi was the central figure in the scandal that resulted in Juventus being stripped of the 2005 and 2006 Serie A titles and relegated to Serie B.

Magistrates made their recommendations on Tuesday for custodial sentences which included four years for former referee designator Paolo Bergamo, four years and six months for his colleague Pierluigi Pairetto, and three years for former ref Massimo De Santis.

Also implicated are Fiorentina owners Andrea and Diego Delle Valle, Lazio president Claudio Lotito and officials from Reggina, Messina and AC Milan.

Moggi denies all charges.

It seems Stefano Capuano and Giuseppe Narducci Asked for this, who are they ?

This trial proved how one can be sued and found guilty without any evidence so I really fear the outcome for Moggi.
No decision has been taken in this trial.

One has to differentiate between the Italian criminal justice system and the sporting courts.

calm down, prosecutors job is to ,at the end of process , ask for certain sentence, that is just part of trail, they demand and judges will decide

Pretty much. It is nothing but a sensationalist headline. If they had been following the trial they would have laughed after the prosecutions request, just like we all did.

Strange how they give no explanation as to why the judge might be replaced or who wants her to be replaced. That would be giving to much information and context to a trial that has reflected positively on Moggi and Juventus. We certainly can't have that.

Media were a part of this farce from day 1, and even now, 5 years later, they still paint a very selective picture of the topic. They hate Moggi and no facts will ever change their slant.

Do they hate Moggi?

The Press outside of Italy is just putting what they consider the most exciting slant on the story, I think.

Ofcourse ,the media are controlled by the Milan clubs or patrons if i'm correct?
Lot's of different people of different parts of Italian media outlets, though Berlusconi is very powerful in that regard.

The Agnelli family also own some (La Stampa).

so it seems like the prosecutors are shitting their pants on the outcome of this trail because it might prove their link of corruption with MoratHole, the whole trail was nothing short of comedy and it was clear that moggi proved they were all doing more

i think thats a desperate attempt to scare off Moggi, from trying a counterattack, or at least keep him busy and wear off his credibility and financial status...
I call bluff...they have nothing on him anymore after everything they thought they had has been dis-proven.

It's standard procedure for the prosecution to ask for sentences, Moggi is the defendant after all.

But of course it's front page newsworthy because it makes a nice anti-Moggi headline.

Trial by media, I think we've been here before.
