ok so if Materazzi and Mancini are guilty the :inter: should be sent down. Having a coach and a player manipulating the result of a game results in a serious penalty to the team no? Just like what happened to milan. Anything less would show how corrupted that team and the sporting justice in Italy are.
I don't know what Milan was relegated for exactly, but if two players and even a coach lost a match intentionally, for gambling. Relegating that club sounds ridiculous, even if it was Inter. imo, the players and the coach involved should be banned of playing/coaching, let's say for a year?

although this investigation is conducted by the state, not the sporting tribunals is it the unfortunate case however that it will be individual punishments? so untill the sporting tribunals get involved relegation is basically out of the question?

Depends on whether or not the sporting tribunals make a case of it as well I suppose. But surely they wouldn't let it slide if those people were to be convicted before a normal court.

Hate to be the one to rain on your parade but it's been denied. There's no investigation to start with. Oh well, nice dream while it lasted.

Calcio, Procura Milano: "Nessuna inchiesta sull'Inter"
Indice Ultim'ora

By the way, there was a similar case in Belgium a couple of years ago, but on a bigger scale. The players got punished, the clubs weren't on the basis that the clubs didn't have a plan and didn't earn any money on it. In other words, they didn't want their players to cheat.

Why is it that the Italian police seem to be able to do this whenever they feel like it?
