Looks like someone is feeling the heat, send Moggi to prison before he can do some serious damage to the real Criminals.

    Link
I feel for Italians in Italy. Through their media (ranked 73rd in the world by the UN) they are subjected to more lies than truth. The latest accusations are nothing more than an attempt to distract and misinform the public from the real bomb; Calciopoli has been reopened in Civil court.

For one to believe these latest accusations he would have to first of all believe that Moggi actually controlled Italian Soccer in the first place. A theory already laid to waste by countless documents and revelations.

Even if Moggi was the puppet master of Serie A however, what possibility of continuous wrongdoing could there be? Would Moggi be so stupid as to continue “influencing” Italian soccer while under indictment? Would Moggi be so naive as to continue doing so with a phone that he knows was intercepted? Would he do so in order to protect the Juventus (now run by his adversaries) that totally abandoned him (Elkan, Montezemolo, Blanc)? Who would he even be calling to do so considering Pairetto and Bergamo are gone? I doubt he would contact another mortal enemy like Collina to assist his other enemies now running his former club.

The entire situation is going to get worse before it gets better. The more revelations surface regarding Farsopoli’s unlawfulness the more the papers that sponsored the fictitious trial will attempt to remind people that Moggi was the real “bad guy”.

I also want to point out that other suspended directors actually DID continue working for their teams without hiding it yet nothing was ever done. Notice Galliani signed Ronaldo while supposedly suspended?

Beside the point though. We should be used to the double standard.

Nothing will come of it and the more these papers write such slander, the more Moggi will reap the benefits in the end as many are already the target of Civil Suits for defamation of character.

    Be not afraid.

Where does one find the validity rankings of a nation's media?
Objectivity, accuracy, freedom of speach, and ownership.

Considering most major papers and TV stations are owned by the same circle of people, the tabloid like approach to reporting, the transparent agendas, and the level of censorship in Italy I can't say I'm surprised at the UN's ranking.

    Serie A - Ex-Juve chief investgiated again

    Eurosport - Sat, 15 Dec 15:33:00 2007

Prosecutors have opened a new investigation into a former Juventus director at the centre of last year's match-fixing scandal, alleging he continued to have an influence on Italian soccer after he was banned.

    More Stories

Magistrates presented new wiretaps at a preliminary hearing in Naples on that will be used in the fresh probe into former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and other people for alleged criminal association, judicial sources said.

The wiretaps concern phone calls between October 2006 and March 2007, after a sports tribunal banned Moggi from football for five years as well as punishing referees, club directors and former Italian federation officials.

One of the sources, who declined to be identified, said the wiretaps indicated Moggi "still had an influence" on Italian soccer after he was banned. The source added the new probe did not include any further accusations of match-fixing.

"I don't think [the new documents] regard felonies but I have not read the papers yet," Moggi's lawyer Paolo Trofino said.

"It seems to me they are normal contacts between Moggi and his collaborators but it is necessary to see what's in the documents. Moggi talks to anyone."

The hearing was held to decide whether 37 people accused of sporting fraud for their involvement in the scandal, including Moggi, should be sent to a criminal trial.

The hearing was adjourned to February 8.

Moggi possibly faces prison if sent to trial and found guilty. Lazio president Claudio Lotito and Fiorentina honorary president Diego Della Valle are also among the accused.

The former Juve director is accused of being at the centre of attempts to gain favourable referees to influence results in the 2004-05 season.

Last year a sports tribunal stripped Juventus of their 2005 and 2006 Serie A titles and relegated them to Serie B because of the affair.

Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Reggina and Arezzo received points deductions for their involvement in the latest of a number of match-rigging incidents in Italy in the past 30 years.

Juventus achieved immediate promotion last season and are now third in Serie A.

    from goal.com:

Paparesta Denies Receiving SIM Cards From Moggi

Referee Gianluca Paparesta, who was involved in the Calciopoli scandal, has rebuffed the reports in the Italian media that he admitted receiving SIM cards from former Juventus General Director Luciano Moggi.

A shroud of mystery now surrounds the deposition made by Paparesta yesterday during the interrogation by the prosecuting attorneys of Naples, Beatrice and Narducci.

Apparently, the referee had originally admitted to them that he, and other referees, were offered SIM Cards by Moggi and Luciano Fabiani, but later on in the day, after the news had been reported throughout all media, he made a statement to Ansa, declaring that this is all false.

"I never received SIM Cards by Moggi. It's false that I confessed such a thing," declared Paparesta.

However, it is rumoured that Paparesta did admit that Moggi was always present during the yearly referee meetings, even though it is yet unclear what transpired following his latest statement.

Funny.. Why isn't anyone "investigating" Galiani for his ban time. When He was negotiating the Ronaldo deal in Madrid..

Easy, he wasn't working for Juventus. It's that simple.
The case with Galliani was that he wasn't allowed to hold formal football administrative titles during the 9 months ban.
If i understand this correctly, he couldn't have held the title of president of xy football federation/organization/club , vice-president of federation/organization/club etc.
It didn't mean that he wasn't allowed to talk with other players, to arange transfers or do things connected to football as an individual who's not holding a formal football administrative title.

Galliani, Berlusconi or Moggi...... it wouldn't have changed anything and it would have been a huge scandal if Galliani broke the law again and didn't respect the ban. Lets not look for scandals where there aren't any.
The man's ban was even reduced for a month or two and not even Tuttosport tried to make a scandal out of it.

I hate Milan and Galliani, but in this case you're over reacting. It's not like Galliani was allowed to arange Ronaldo's transfer only because he was in Milan. He would have been allowed to do that even if he was in Juve.

Calciopoli: pressure on judges. Moggi still active 'Nocerino not go to Florence'

    09:45, 17 December

The former president of Bologna, Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara told microphones of Radio Anch'io Sport: "The leadership of football was corrupt, but not the players as demonstrated by the successes World National and Milan. Addition to the lack of Bologna after ripescaggio the relegation, I feel a victim of calciopoli to capital level. Rather not understand the damage claims made by Football League and Figc, including failure by the complaint against Juventus Giraudo and Moggi. Yes murmurs that it is still working on the foreign market with other teams, it is strange that the Figc has not extended its referral to the European level. Adding all requests for damages, nearly one billion euros and I have no idea as to who will pay. This problem may lock the championship. now must monitor any political interference in its judgments, but I am quite confident in justice, especially if the process were to remain in Naples as it seems. few step forward there has been, but we have not yet entered the "second republic" football. Until justice sports remain within the Federation, will repeat unpleasant situations. real change will happen only with the separation of justice by individual sports federations.

The former chairman of Figc, Franco Carraro spoke to replicate a Gazzoni: "I never speak Corsican processes in the right place are the judicial classrooms. Court of Auditors has investigated me, my excluding any responsibility. I hope to be acquitted. On 15 May 2006, in the transmission tv 'Porta a Porta', Gazzoni said that the Italian should not participate in the World Germany. Gazzoni is also investigated by the Public Prosecutor in Bologna for fraudulent bankruptcy in the event of the failure of Bologna ( " The Bologna is not bankrupt, the bankrupt company that controlled the company "respond then Gazzoni). Membership in the championship Messina and Reggina, as well as by Figc, were examined by three organs such as the Chamber of Conciliazione, and Tar Council of State . Ho made serious errors sports policy, and I paid with immediate resignation, without which we could hardly dispute the championship last year. remain all'Uefa just because he asked me the Figc, otherwise my place would taken from a stranger. me is a sacrifice on the operational level of football I closed. "

But the interception of ds Dry today discuss the BoD of Juve.
Spunterà also some question about kind words (intercepted) between Juve sporting director, Alessio Secco and Luciano Moggi, in cda bianconero which meets this morning in Corsican Galileo Ferraris: on the agenda, there are still assessments on investment for new stadium , which however does not decide, and an initial calibration of resources to be put on the market in June, but the speech and slip on the latest gossip of calciopoli. A eye, not blows air by guillotine, although the spectrum of reactions can vary between indifference (the call is not news ", orecchiava yesterday from home Juve) all'imbarazzo for a past that remains attached to the present.

Dry preferred not to speak, but his position remains that dell'esternazione last May, when the name of Lucianone he was again supported. Indeed, the spolverò the young leader, during a friendly clubs in Chiusa Pesio: "The dispute has left me totally indifferent," said the ds banners on the curve against him and Bettega - also because I had so many statements of solidarity players, managers and prosecutors. Among these, even that of Luciano Moggi, who told me not to give up. He was the only one mentioned, the devil of calciopoli. Difficult had fled own, and only, that name condemned to eternal damnation. One case, it was not.

Only a few night before, ran mid-May, Moggi had overlooks screens TeleLombardia, speaking directly Dry: telling that, "every time, we felt, 'some advice. And again: "I told you take young people, not their thirties. With the usual tone to Lucianone, always insinuante. This means that with Secco is a patronage machine, not just occasional. From here, s'erano triggered once the allegations on longa manus of Moggi: thrown out of the ball, but still capable of determining advice on market bianconero. Precisely for this reason, he then explained Dry, had reached the summons cameras esplanades.

How to say: Now I say I, last Sunday, among many, I phoned and Luciano Moggi, avoiding that you know in a few days or weeks, thus putting in motion new suspects. Along these lines, then, filava and row, the authentic interpretation of ds bianconero: Moggi is a person I know from more than ten years, we felt at Christmas, for your good wishes, and the time for his certificate of solidarity . Human Relations and sports or criminal liability, in other words, traveling on different tracks. Then, of course, it all'ad Jean-Claude Blanc, President John Cobolli Gigli and, therefore, cda, weigh these behaviors.

What is decisive is the content of a telephone call: saltassero out negotiations between Moggi market and the young ds, which has always denied Secco, the excommunication would be immediate, again, in friendship slips (criticism or less) and nell'etica. The summons dell'Innominabile in May, had surprised Giovanni Cobolli Gigli: "I take note of the statement by Alessio Secco. In the past Moggi has done many things in Juve, but has nothing to do with Juve today. Mr Moggi I know only from newspapers. And yet, to be even more clear: "Since we have reached us, we see it only as a man who worked for us. The Juve this is not and should not have relations with that of the past. In the days of establishment, in the summer of 2006, the number one bianconero was even more direct, talking to their employees: "If there is my official who speaks with Moggi, will be removed. Difficult as ends.

FIGC: when the process to GEA? For Moggi sr. Pardon risk

    10:43 a.m. on 17 December

Association for murder for crimes against public administration and the revelation of acts covered by secret investigations, enough to rip a smile to make less pm and the smiling lawyer Paolo Trofino defending Luciano Moggi. Trofino is man expert classrooms court and knows that this puts it in crisis. This is the new trend that is taking the total pm Neapolitans Filippo Beatrice and Giuseppe Narducci. An excerpt of the process Moggiopoli, evidence that Luciano Moggi has never stopped working. "The conspiracy to survive in the investigation. But because we are talking about crimes against the public administration and the revelation of the acts covered by secret investigations? C'entrano the phone tapping c'entrano chats with people outside the world of football, c'entrano pressures that justice sport has undergone the first of the second sentence (that the Federal Court).
NEW STRAND In Prosecutor in Naples does not exclude that there may be entries in the register of suspects for other people, but when times are not yet ripe. The telephone interceptions have yet to have their feedback. I arrived just a few days on the table for judges and for the moment are only further proof of the association, but also something more: If the association is repeated in 2006-07 does not fall more nell'indulto. If Beatrice and Narducci convince the judge, the crimes for which they have called the 37 defendants not fall nell'indulto and end - if-condemning it comes to having to pay penalties.
JUSTICE SPORTS Revelation of acts covered by secret investigations. Moggi speaks in his phone calls with friends and with others convicted of justice sports took place as the closed session of the Federal Court. How did we get to the judgments that have partly upset by the rulings Caf chaired by Rupert. Pressures (had already admitted a component Serio, in several interviews), visits night in the rooms of closed session recorded by security cameras of the hotel. But above all the "reasons" that led the judges to take some decisions. "After reading the interception should someone ashamed" to escape those cards that someone has already read.
THE MARKET It is difficult to believe that Luciano Moggi has never made phone calls when hot market. Too many friends in the various teams, too many close ties with the world which was "master" for years. Besides his son Alessandro is still one of the main agents of players. The Federation, despite the Court of Rome Corsican is a process for illegal competition with threats and violence, has never suspended or referred. Moggi has still friends even within the Juventus and second-investigators but also many of the insiders-one would be behind him no bianconero transfer to Fiorentina Nocerino.
OTHER CLUB In phone calls Moggi is also talk of Siena during his assignment, and Queen's Park Rangers. A hand to a Briatore (and someone says Giraudo also) could not miss with the reporting of valid collaborators: Di Canio, Ceravolo, Di Marzio from technical director sports, the observer for young people. Besides his disqualification Italian all'Uefa has never been officially notified.
LATEST NEWS But the great expectations comes from the minutes of questioning presented by pm Saturday. Noto now to Paparesta remain to be examined those Cellino and Nucini which repeat allegations that referees, of the Figc Gallavotti, the footballer of Rome Esposito, the former manager juventino Capobianco (formerly known its accusations), of chairman of the Cca Coni Ronzani (especially on relations with Gallavotti and not on pressure to the case Lorbek), the chairman of series D, William Punghellini.
