Is there anything new on the trial yet? Any new evidence besides all people of power being somehow linked through Inter in one way or another?

Mark, have you seen the the Calciopoli documentary that come out earlier this year? Italian one ofcourse (even if John Foot makes appearances). It was interesting, and disgusting with the obvious attitude, they aired few tapesetc. Its ofcourse the older stuff, not up to date with this 2nd chapter.

I seen it in Swedish teli last night (for Swedes here, go to SVT.se, and watch it in SVT play), it wasnt long and bit broad in general. But still interesting. I wasnt watching it as a Juve fan, or with any particular point of view, and I SEEN other documentaries of other type of stuff about Italy. Man, no offense, but even if its obvious, its disgustingly corrupt how things work there (its not even about Juve stuff alone I mean, even if that was the main focus, but the tapes show the attitude of how things work there, the Lazio and Viola angle too etc).

No I haven't. I remember some people talking about a docu-fiction that came out on calciopoli but not a real documentary.

Its interesting, you should see it. Even if the most cynical, ridicolous to directly hear the attitude of those who run or ran the league (quite different from reading transcripts, atleast in my experience).

tbh i've read the book calcio by john foot the 2nd edition which includes the calciopoli scandal and frankly it doesn't even scratch the surface of the truth or even the relations between the telecoms company, inter and the league, all there was is a descriptive story of what happened that summer.

5 titles, 1 Coppa, now probably a CL trophy plus another 100m dollars to spend....wtf.

It's incredible how Inter before 2006 have turned into what they are now after all of this. It's heartbreaking watching us crumble and them using our bricks and stone to build their fortress.

I don't understand that if FIGC wants what is best of Italian soccer then what good does it do if the same team is winning all the time.

Calciopoli Watch: FIGC Eager To Start Investigation, New Call Emerges

Another phone call has emerged in the ongoing legal trial into Calciopoli at the Tribunal of Naples, and the latest wiretap centres around a controversial game between Fiorentina and Juventus in 2005 which ended 3-3 amid a huge storm of protest.

In the game, Fabio Cannavaro scored a header which appeared valid, but struck off by the referee Pierluigi Collina.

And, during the phone call, former referee designators Paolo Bergamo and Pierluigi Pairetto discuss the match. Collina is also heard pondering Luciano Moggi's attitude after the final whistle.

Here's an extract from the call as reported by Tuttosport.

Bergamo: It's hard to understand. The ball seems more inside the goal that out.

Collina: Moggi came to me after and he shook my hand, saying 'well done'. It didn't seem like he was taking the p***. He was tranquil.

Pairetto: I can't imagine what would have happened if it was the other way around.

Bergamo: In any case I am happy with Collina because he handled the situation well. He has repaid us for the work we do.

Meanwhile, federal prosecutor Stefano Palazzi is eager to get the FIGC's investigation under way. He has everything at his disposal; calls, evidence, a team of investigators, but he has not received a new batch of transcripts from judge Teresa Casoria at the Tribunal of Naples.

And Roberto Porto has started to transcribe all the calls presented by Moggi's defence team, Pairetto and the prosecution. Work is also being carried out on the CDs containing further calls which have not come to light yet.

Palazzi is also in Naples to deliberate over new laws regarding violence in Italian stadiums and who should be liable when incidents break out in the stands and outside the grounds.

As things stand, clubs have been fined when crowd trouble has broken out, but the law makers are trying to reduce responsibility placed on the teams, as well as tackle the problems of racism.

Moggi didn't seem like he was taking the piss when he shook Collina's hand. Moments later, however, Moggi was indeed taking a piss...on Collina's windshield.

Focus on this, and the fact that Collina was supposed to be part of the Moggi system :)lol:) even though it has come out afterwards that he is clearly close to Milan.
