So I am thinking of starting a business, but I have no idea what I should do.

Let's share business ideas in this thread and please keep it serious.

I have the money to do most things but I don't want to open a restaurant etc, it's too much of it here in Norway.

Any suggestions?

Well you shouldn't rush and there are far too many things to consider, especially now during the crisis. You should consider you budget and don't joke around with loans, they are creepy as hell now. What you should do next is make a marketing plan and try to satisfy customer needs with something that differs from competitors in order to make a proper market penetration (don't laugh Rab, it's not what you have in your dirty mind, it's not sex).

Tanning Salon.

Or maybe a Pakistani restaurant? People here love Indian food and it's very similar to Pakistani food I assume.

I have never been involved in a business but no matter where i go i end up having a social circle filled with businessmen. For what i learnt about them you should never get into a business youself without any experience. Tag youself with someone old rash and experienced and learn from him,pay your dues for a few months and trust me you wont need to ask for ideas.

I dont think you(anyone) can start a sucessfull business without working with some pro's first.

Open a shop selling exotic commodities in Oslo. Cloth and the likes with Pakistani interior details. I am sure it will work really well.

I am willing to take a risk here, I am thinking too hard about this. There is restaurants, takeaways, pubs, carwash etc but not easy to steal customers :D

That's not the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but it is the stupidest thing I've heard today.
What's stupid with asking for ideas to start something?

He means like furnishings for the home, cloth (ie curtains, drapes etc) is just one thing, you could do other pieces, ornaments, or have a customisable design for an entire room.

No, you need capital, a license, ideas, passion, heart, strength, and that's just to start.

If you are going to own it, then you need to worry about tax, immigration, hiring, operating laws....

Really good businessmen, and I'm not, but my degree is in Business, Finance, and Economics, don't try to do it without having an idea. You need to find a niche, a place in society where there is a need, and fill it.

    That's the easy part.

    Exactly.

But I don't think he made a silly question, he just wanted ideas. First he needs that and later he can worry how to get money. But IMO it's always idea > money.

Or just open a home-deliver company. Many people are lazy so you can guarantee them transport of a product they bought + some share for you. You can start with your city and later expand on the whole country :D
