MAJOR PRIORITY
1. a reliable winger. Costa misses over half the game due to injury and is 29.
2. An attacking midfielder. Berna isn’t good enough and Ramsey is as unreliable as Costa.
MINOR PRIORITY
3. A backup forward as Mandzukic is leaving
4. A right back. Not as important as Cuadrado is amazing right now, but he’s also 31.
5. an understudy for Pjanic.
I believe we get 1, 2 and 5. That will be Chiesa, Zaniolo and Tonali.
We should try everything next summer to rid ourselves of Khedira, Matuidi and Can. I don’t think we’ll get anything from Khedira. Matuidi, Can, and Mandzukic could probably combine for about 50m.

matuidi is a rock solid starter, he's not leaving. he'll get an extension soon. not that i'm happy with it, while i appreciate his professionalism, i think we should do better than him, but that's what it is. also, no news about khedira leaving either, and since he's on 6m net, he'll be basically impossible to offload.
backup forward for a player who's not even played a minute? unlikely. our forwards are dybala, higuain and cr.
right back: we have 3 of them, won't get a 4th. unless de sciglio leaves for psg, we'd need a left back though.
gk: buffon is rumored to extend for a further year. pinsoglio probably stays, too.
also, chiesa, zaniolo and tonali would cost a fortune, and none of them would bring neither exposure, nor commercial income. zaniolo is likely to extend with roma, and he's happy there, so that ship has probably sailed anyway. if rumors are to believe, we'll target an other highly marketable player like mbappe, salah or pogba. if it's mbappe or salah, then chiesa would be redundant.

Honestly, if we are going to play 3 at the back, why shoehorn Danilo in there?

We could even bring Romero back from loan in January.
Also, Bentancur deserves to start based on his performances this season. He should be above both Matuidi and Ramsey in the pecking order.
