Im thinking 3-4 more years at Juve. Juve will have picked up a CL win and Italian cup win. Buffon will go to Barca. And he will still be awesome in 4 years:D
you want to bet?!

I think it will be the opposite. When he starts to suck (all g/k's get there eventually), Juventus will sell him and get someone better.

But I doubt that a club of Barcelona's caliber will want him at that point.
:howler:
i'll get endless satisfaction then!!!!!!!

because he thinks he'll be the best for ever!!

sorry gigi but you won't :howler:

I think he will be the best for ever. Goalkeepers can play alot longer than other players and if he retires at a reasonable age then why wont he? Theres certainly noone else in the world even close to Buffon right now as far as natural talent goes.

The only goalkeeper who was able to maintain his natural talen during his entire career was Lev Yashin. And he played in the 1960s.

I am yet to see anybody even close to his level.

Just what i think.....

- He just said that "maybe that would be nough" he diddnt say he would retire or anything of the kind and as long as those words dont come out form his mouth then thats fine :)
besides.. translations... who knows what he relly said?

- He said he wanted to play for Braca or that it would be cool to play with Barca before.... and he isnt there now :) . Even with that i think there was some translation problem... i still dont know if he said he would like to defend against Braca (well he can do that now) or wether he wanted to defend for Braca

- Barca's not in Italy .... ... and he said the above not more than 5 yrs ago... so why are you believeing what he indicated (again... it;s just assumption... he diddnt really say anything) 5 yrs down the road?

- If i were a player like him i'd certainly like to experinec playing in a other country.... maybe not now when he's this gd..... but later when he's old... after all this stress it's be cool to play in a small club somewhere else no?

- NT wont let him quit at 30 unless there's another GK better than him  ...... and juding that he is Buffon.... what are the chances of that? :D

.............. but if he relly does mean that he will stop playing so early i can acept it. It must be very hard for these boys to play at such high levels all he time day in and day out... add to that the "super star status stress and people never acepting any slip up from you stress" And besides... he's rich.... not as if he has to work for cash.
