Gianluigi Buffon again "The World's best Goalkeeper"

The Italian Gianluigi Buffon, born 28th January 1978, has successfully defended his title, to again become the best goalkeeper in the world, and in addition achieved almost the same number of points as he did for his first victory. The goalkeeper of "Juve" and the "Squadra Azzurra" is undoubtedly the best in his position. The 1,96m Czech Petr Cech, who switched from Rennes to London in July 2004 becomes runner up in the best goalkeeper of the world. The Czech national keeper, who is only 22 years old, gave outstanding performances in the English Premier League.

The 3 rd place was taken by the 31-year-old Brazilian "Dida", who plays in Milan, ahead of the 23-year-old Spaniard Ikar Casillas, who has twice previously been runner up in “The best World’s Goalkeeper”, and the Greek European champion Andonios Nikopolidis (34 years). The 35-year-old German Oliver Kahn, who was "The World's best Goalkeeper" three times - in 1999, 2001 and 2002, has dropped further back, to 6 th place. In the yearly world ranking of goalkeepers for the first time and straight into the "Top ten" is the Colombian Juan Carlos Henao (Once Caldas), who made a substantial contribution to the surprising victory in the "Copa Libertadores".

Among the "Top 22" are three Spaniards and three Germans as well as two Italians and Portuguese. 16 Europeans, four South Americans as well as one Asian and African form the "Top 22". Of the "Top 22" four goalkeepers play in each of the English Premier League and Spanish Primera División, and three in the Italian Serie A. The voting for "The World's best Goalkeeper" has been carried out by the IFFHS since 1987. Sport editorial staffs and experts from 86 countries from all continents took part in the voting in 2004.

he should b the best evry year from now on. I can't believe Kahn made it to sixth, if you watch bundesliga games, he's made quite a few blunders here and there.
He's lost it.

Buffon all the way!
