I think they're all doing a terrific job. I really loved Gus as a villain, too - that underplayed and serious way of portraying him gave a whole atmosphere of "evil" around him that I don't think a more psychotically portrayed villain could have offered.

Also, whoever is writing the scripts - kudos.

also, Jack:

in s05e01 when Skylar comes home after Walt told her that he in fact killed Gus - she starts packing her bags. Is it a plothole or did I just miss something? Because the show just continues on like that scene never happened.

it's hard to say, but so far it's building up to an epic finale.
Finales suck. If you put in for a finale, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. It's about the journey. The journey in Season 5 has done well thus far -- I like what the writers are doing with it, without it seeming like they jumped the shark after s04.

She's going through what Jessie went through when he cut the chemist. That said, it's the one character on this show I hate now.

:agree: i've always wanted her to die.. do you guys think she is meant to be hated? like a subliminal villain?
It's hard to see her as a sympathetic character... even if you're a woman. Perhaps a potential final twist in the plot would be that the person Walt became a criminal to support may be the one he has to take down in the end.

That would be great.

I don't think she's all that bad. We can't really hate her for not being sympathetic to her husbands new culinary trend. Furthermore she saved his ass a couple of times.
