The article says that Diego's contract expires in mid 2005, so that other clubs could offer him a precontract already in January. It seems that he wont extend as the club is not in good relations with his father who owns 50% of Diego's contract and that they should sell him now as not to lose him for free next year. Apparantly Inter and Juve are the interested ones in Italy, and also Tottenham and PSG.

Imagine a team like Arsenal or Parma loaning out players if they got such talent as Diego. They'd probably chuck him straight into the starting line-up!

You can't put an 18 year old teenager in the starting line-up of the biggest club in Italy. Arsenal never did that, and Parma's youngest player is above 20! So come on, you know what I meant, when I said that!

Reyes and Ronaldo both played in Europe before moving to their current clubs. Diego is even younger then both of them, has never played in Europe or Italy before, and would it take some time till he could play in our first team. Whats wrong about having him in our team, when he is 22 or 23???

nothing wrong with him being in our team then, but i would really really like to see a young fantasy player in our team, kapo :dazed:, is the closest we have, neddy isnt a fantasy player nor is he young (pure class tho )

I see our team getting older with this new mercato, and going in a very different way than many of us wanted.
