It’s entertainment, however it is an insult to real boxers and fighters in general. Mike Tyson has nothing to prove either, it’s pretty obvious of the lucrative potential with this circus.

Paul would not even have a chance against the like of Terrance Crawford even with a catch weight difference, Terrance would rip him apart.

Mockery to the sport.

20+ million pay out for Mike. Good for him, still a winner.

Tyson’s last fight was nearly 20 years ago lol.

What an absolute carny shit show. But I’ll still watch it :lol2:
"If ever there was an example to perfectly illustrate the absurdity of Friday's Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight, it is this:

On 17 January 1997, the Paul family in Ohio were celebrating the birth of blond-haired baby boy Jake.

Meanwhile, the cover of that month's edition of the International Boxing Digest asked: "Is Tyson finished?"

'Iron Mike' was already past his prime - having been dismantled inside 11 rounds by Evander Holyfield two months earlier - but to answer the question, no, he was not finished."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/articles/cg4le5vrwvzo

Really says it all.

These girls are badass

The tiny saving grace of a farcical card. I skipped the 2nd match (so cant judge it), but the first match (indian and brazilian clowns) and Tyson vs Paul was complete clown show. Not sanction worthy bouts for different reasons.

While the two women even tho it went to controversial decision, actually was a genuine brutal fight from start to finish. Complete slugfest. The desperation and urgency was palpable.

Tyson didn't like anything like he was 4 years ago against Roy Jones Jnr.

His legs are completely gone.

Because the age difference between him and Jake (31) is higher then Jakes actual age (27).

This was never meant to be anything but a big brand clown show.

It attracts a crowd who is there for nostalgia, some foolishly expected the old prime Mike, while you getting OLD Mike. And some more realistic but still drawn in by the wishful fleeting thought of "maybe he can show us a glimpse and knock him out first round before his leg and stamina goes".

It's basically ragebait fight. Jake gets the eyes on him, and the money as usual with promoting and fighting these influencer side shows (tho he is more legit then his brother).

But he doesn't win anything on forcing the issue and trying for knock out hobbled old man, since 90% are watching rooting for Mike. So he opts for The safe drag it out win on light jabs decision tactic, vs someone who has no legs to move at all (tho could guard), because he is older then Jakes father most likely.

Also try to get PR by showing fake respect and homage to Mike. But if it was genuine respect you would never made this farce of a fight happen.

WWE pay for view was right description, with how timid it felt after the first 3 rounds. Just waiting out time.

Its a very cheap way of getting recognised as a good boxer, there's a level of entertainment to it, the deal for Tyson isnt bad either. He made 20m, right?

I was part of the wishfull thinking group, hoping for one punch that would make the difference, in the third round it became clear that Tyson wouldnt win.

I do think that even if we shouldnt recognise it as true pro-level boxing, it brings attention to the sport which is always good.

I respect Jake more than I respect his brother.

Logan is 100% sociopath clown. Jake is only like a 50% clown. Seems genuinely want to be a real boxer. While getting rich off it in unorthodox sideshow gimmick ways.

But the biggiest loser in this was Netflix credibility in hosting a world wide live event. Technically had huge issues both with quality of stream, qualify of their mics, and overall insane amount of loading and crashing. Had to go out and in to make it work constantly.

They have alot of homework to do logistics if they want a viral type live stream event again.

Barrios v Ramos was one of the better fights I’ve seen in a very long time

How are these circus fights still happening? Why are people watching this garbage?

If you want circus fights, then go full Japan, and not his half-baked nonsense.

Is that the 2nd fight I skipped? I watched the 1st fight live, and it was wasting so much time total BS event, and it was too late/early in morning for me so went to bed.

When I watched now in morning and could skip, I didn't even look at 2nd fight, just skipped immediately, my taste buds ruined by 1st match.

I mainly watched the 3rd match with the women because netflix was having so much technical loading issues letting me skip latter parts of stream, so just watched it out of annoyance with the crashes.

So it seems the event planners decided to bury the genuine real boxers in the middle fights?

Tyson should have followed muhammad ali keley and stayed away from this type of shit show. Unfortunately, money made him choose the paycheck and celebrity lifestyle.
