why oh why we let him go. roma shouldve taken tudor :sob:
Roma has Chivu, Mexes and Ferrari, why would they want Tudor? If they want to a defender that spends a half of the season on a strecher they already have the Romanian fella.

Roma needed a midfielder, and from our perspective Brighi has been crap lately, but he certainly has talent. It was a gamle, will be exciting to see how it goes.

And I would have preferred if they took Chimenti instead of Brighi, but I didn't say that as it was pretty unlikely. ;)

I don't like the gamble all that much either...

Well about Bonera, I think this is the place for him to shine. Capello can work wonders with youngsters, in the case of Chivu especially. He would show Bonera the tricks of the trade and give him confidence. Ya know, all this hype for Bonera isn't for nothing.

I've never rated Bonera much at all. Of course he's better than what we have now, but as someone said, I'm probably better than the defenders we have now. Of course if he comes I'll support him whole-heartedly, but I wouldn't feel very secure

i'd welcome him for the follwoing reasons.

1. its a defender, should we complain??

2. he is young still, therefore a young defender joining the club is just great compared to montero, iuliano etc...

3. he can play right back or central. something which we need. Having thuram, zebina and bonera to do that would be good.

4. can play in a 3 man defence also.

the only thing i dont like about him is that he can really only play at right back in a 4-4-2, as he doesnt have much attacking power like oddo does. however, i think it will be okay if somehow nedved moves to the right to do most attacking. camoranesi isnt good enough. maybe kapo can move there and do well.

anyway, i think everyone should be happy if bonera joins because there isnt any other good young defenders left in the market. I hope to see maybe Cannavaro still join also. and montero and iuliano can be sold to bring these two in.

Well ok as I said i didn't actually see Bonera, it's the things that i heard the commentators say and from channel 4.

I did watch the U21 championships though and he was Italy's best player for me together with Gila

if moggi is as prudent as so many of you think he is,then why doesn't he spend instead on players with truly good potential who would flourish here rather than speniding the rest of the season hoping bonera will come good, which he most probably won't anyway?

i've seen him playing for a few times,he is a good defender,he has the pace and the strenght to stop striker...it's a worthy tranfer if we get him on cheap price

Y cant we just get Janko and Oddo.
To be honest, I think we could have got Oddo, Mexes, Ferrari and Jankulovski if we'd really tried
