so you'd prefer montero, iuliano, ferrara etc to bonera?
I we wanted someone who was just a little bit better than them we have Legro and Zebina. Why aim so low?

Underrated overrated; whatever. Point is: even Parma fans don't think he's very good, he didn't really impress anyone last season. He might turn into a very good players, but we need a ROCK in defense, and we need it now. We don't have time to wait for Bonera to be very good. Or in other words; good isn't good enough right now.

John#10 you can't compare young player with experienecd ones, if you woold do that then Mexes wouldn't be nothing special in comparison to Nesta,Malidni,Stam,Carvalho....

Both mexes and Bonera are great players for the future

mexs is widely regarded as one of the best young cb in the world, he has presence and classs.

Bonera is quite clearly average at best.

I have a feeling that if we do buy him, Capello will bench him. So, my attitude: I don't care.

I like the guy, but he is neither Ferrari, nor Oddo, nor Mexes.

i think that bonera will be a good buy,he will learn a lot from thuram before breaking through juve first 11....by now,he would probably become a back up to thuram....after gaining enough experience, then he will become the best defender

Yes, definitely better than nothing, and probably as good/perhaps a little better than the senior citizens we have in front of Buffon.

haha Senior Citizens :D that made me chuckle

I don't like Bonera but at this point i'd take him over Iuliano, Tudor, Montero etc.

Bonera was super with under 21 and very good as i was reading with Parma (i didn't see him at Parma with my own eyes though)

So really he would be one of the best players to get IMO, one of the hottest young Italian prospects, perhaps second after Gillardino.
