Cannavaro is there mainly to add to our collection of players who won Balon d or as Juve player.

Even if he won it technically while at Real, the calendar was spent mostly at Juve and NT.

He won that for his performance at the 2006 WC and he received his award when he was at R.madrid.

I always thought Real Madrid stole the credit for that one as Cannavaro was awarded it for the season he spent with Italy and Juventus.

The criteria for Jj HOF clearly doesn’t mimic the logic for Legend status on Tuz

There will be outrage and disappointment on both sides of the aisle due to this.

Genoa’s sporting director Marco #Ottolini is among the candidates for #Juventus’s sporting director role. In #Juve’s short list there are also two foreign professional profiles. Expected a decision by the end of October

Know it will never happen, about time we give these legends the authority of leading the direction of future Juve football with Alex at the top. Watch him enough on TV as analyst and makes a lot of sense in commenting on what he observes. They can work work with an @Alen type money man to figure out how to spend the money properly on players.

This is like the referee shit that always ends up fucking us, with the "whoops, we should've called that penalty for Juventus" or "whoops, we should've red carded that guy who assaulted the Juventus player"

Yeah, it's nice I guess to hear it after the fact. But we don't get to go back in time and do that shit over.

Same with this situation. Cool. Awesome. Very nice these nerds get acquitted. We don't get to go back in time and get that CL money (+50m). We don't get to go back in time and do the season after that over, do the transfer markets over.

It's total bullshit to have these years-after-the-fact acquittals and apologies and "my bad."

And they don't even tell us they're sorry. It's just like "deal with it."

Arrivabene who wasn't even there yet was cleared 100%.

Thing is, in their "verdict", Arrivabene cost us 2pts. We would have made the CL with those.

    Sue the league's ass?

    nah! :john:Jj
sports justice has been a joke at least since calciopoli

arrivabene wasn't even at the club during the time that was affected by the investigation. marotta was and he wasn't even investigated

and some say that there's no marotta league, there aren't double measures. fuck those literal imbeciles

ps: the club should sue and ask for massive damages - but the plea deals don't make this possible. the beauty of the italian justice system.

    - - - Updated - - -

    ...everyone's acquitted
okay, after reading the whole article, everyone = arrivabene :baus: the others had a plea deal in place, so they got either suspended sentences or previously requested sentences converted to fines

other sentences are summed up here: https://www.juventusnews24.com/inch...ento-agnelli-nedved-paratici-arrivabene-juve/

chatgpt's translation is actually pretty decent:

The following sanctions were imposed: former president Andrea Agnelli entered into a plea agreement of 1 year and 8 months’ imprisonment; Pavel Nedved, 1 year and 2 months; Fabio Paratici, former sporting director, and Cesare Gabasio, Chief Legal Officer of Juventus since January 2021 and a key figure in drafting the documents relating to the salary maneuvers, 1 year and 6 months. With respect to Stefano Cerrato (Chief Financial Officer), Marco Re (Chief Financial Officer until July 2020), and Stefano Bertola (Chief Operating Officer), the sanction of one year was commuted to a pecuniary penalty. All plea agreements exceeding one year carry suspended sentences in addition to fines.

As regards former Chief Executive Officer Maurizio Arrivabene, the decision of non-suit (dismissal of charges) was confirmed. The club itself was subjected to a monetary sanction in the amount of EUR 156,750.

With respect to the 221 civil parties admitted to the proceedings, settlements were reached in respect of one-third of the claimants, amounting to EUR 1,080,000, funded by those who entered into plea agreements, with the exception of Mr. Cesare Gabasio.

    Agnelli: "
Today I reaffirm my deep respect for the competent Authorities tasked with evaluating my conduct, fully aware that the sporting and criminal investigations have been, on a personal level, a heavy burden but also a meaningful source of reflection for the future.
The decision to request the application of a suspended sentence, without civil effects or accessory sanctions, and without any admission of responsibility, thus consistent with my position of innocence, has been an undoubtedly difficult one. Yet after much reflection, I am convinced it is the most appropriate path, given that this criminal proceeding, initiated nearly four years ago, remains at the preliminary hearing stage, and the alternative would have been an indefinite limbo dragging on for many more years.
Having the opportunity today, I believe it is right to bring this long chapter to a close, in full respect of the procedures.
My love for Juventus remains absolute and unchanged, as does my bond with Italy and, above all, with Turin, my city.
My commitment as an investor in the energy transition remains firm through the growth of FIEE, Fondo Italiano per l’Efficienza Energetica, which has been active for nearly a decade under the leadership of a highly skilled management team.
At the same time, I will continue with passion to serve as Chairman of the IRCCS Candiolo Cancer Institute – Fondazione Piemontese per l’Oncologia, a role I have held since 2017 and one that makes me deeply proud, thanks to the extraordinary work of doctors and researchers who, every day, confront the fight against cancer while providing care to more than thirty-five thousand patients each year.
Finally, for more than two years now I have been living in Amsterdam, the city where my family and I have chosen to settle and from which I will build my future projects."
