Not to dissimilar to what happened during Calciopoli. We had spineless owners who already accepted our guilty verdict and wanted to negotiate a lesser punishment so didn't say anything about figc, kangaroo judiciary etc. I am sure they will relegate us again and we will not take the legal battle to Tar civil court Or European Court of Arbitration.
In that case this club doesnt deserve its fans standing behind them. Would be the time to sell to someone that actually will defend the club in future because we know it will repeat again.

Wiretaps of JJ executives talking about unrelated internal affairs are being released to the public like it's the most normal thing in the world

In Amurica JJ would be receiving 9000000000000000000000000000 monies worth of damages tomorrow and the investigator would live under a bridge, also tomorrow

In a civilized country this wouldn't be happening to begin with.

In Banana Republic Italy you'd at least expect JJ to aggressively move against it, also using banana republic methods.

Definitely the time has come to sell the club because the entire system is against us and again I don't see any major investments by Exor unless we can miraculously qualify for the champions League. Again do they care about the fans?

it can be legal to gather evidence. prosecutors asked for authorization, a judge said yes, that's fine, it can happen anywhere

how publishing it without any context, just to create headlines is legal, that's an other question. and how journalists are always ahead of the public information on processes, how leaking those wiretaps is always without consequences, etc

italy things i guess
Yes, but do we know if this has happened?

Again wiretapping is considered essential part of investigation in Italy. There are plenty of scandals in Italy where ministers are wiretapped.
Italy’s justice minister is to send inspectors to Sicily following reports that prosecutors wiretapped hundreds of phone conversations involving at least 15 journalists reporting on migration in the central Mediterranean.

IMO none of this would happen with foreign owners. Not because they are untouchable but obviously Italian mafia & politics are mixed with everything.

I know Agneli family is quite special and everything but such things make me sick. I would like it to stop even if it means selling the club. However, imagining that it's Arabs or even Americans running the club make me feel sick but in a different way.

Anyone running it who is not a descendant of good classy fascists like Giovanni Agnelli would be bad enough. But brown Arab men running it? The horror!

It has nothing to do with the skin color. More like the idea of modern football where clubs spend shitload of money (City/Chelsea). IMO whoever watched and loved football during late 90s and early 2000s hates such movement as football as a sport loses it's soul. Dunno, I might be wrong there, but at least that's my experience.

There lies the dissonance. I enjoyed those same eras of football. but you mustn’t let boomer-esque nostalgia about the good ol days prevent you from accepting what modern day football has evolved in to. Because that is the exact mistake all of Italy has made and there result is Italy being a shit league that produces a poor product.

    Evolve or die.

Not every change is a good change. I do agree that Italy is way too old-fashioned. But in a different way that can and should be changed. It can be done without pouring trillions into the league I think.

It requires the right people AND capital to effect change resulting in positive short-mid-long term results. Not just money alone.

In Jj case, both are gravely needed. The club is still being run by morons, despite the incompetent son of a billionaire and his cronies all gone.

Also, the bottom line is that Jj and football are businesses. They require capital to improve and remain competitive. Otherwise, it will not make any money to survive. Jj and Serie A aren’t going to magically improve.

Ridiculous how you can be allowed to wire tap in the first place. But to be allowed to do it to a listed business/football club and release its discussions about strategy and anything not related to the case in public is crazy.
If this happened in Australia. LOL.

The people responsible for tapping and then releasing the audio would all be fucked. And any case against us would be thrown out.

But that’s just things that happen in civilised countries. Italy ain’t one of those.

Sportive Justice is a world on their own where you're guilty until you can prove otherwise
