Category: Transfer

Juventus benchwarmer Manuele Blasi’s agent has confirmed he is in advanced negotiations for a transfer to Fiorentina.

“It is true, he could move from Juventus to Fiorentina,” Franco Zavaglia told ‘Radio Radio’ this evening.

“The two clubs are discussing the matter between themselves and this exchange is very much a possibility.”

The former Perugia midfielder struggled at the Stadio Delle Alpi this season, managing just 13 Serie A appearances, five in the Champions League and three Coppa Italia games – many of them in an unusual full-back role.

His disciplinary record caused concern in recent years and it seems Coach Fabio Capello lost faith in the player, especially as Juve have already drafted in Cristiano Zanetti from Inter as a replacement.

Blasi began his career at Lecce in 1998-99 and has also worn the jerseys of Roma, Perugia and Parma. The midfielder, who will turn 26 in August, is also an Italian international with eight caps to his credit.

Fiorentina are set to completely revolutionise their midfield for next season, as they have not taken up their option to make Stefano Fiore’s loan switch from Valencia a permanent one and brought in Fabio Liverani from Lazio on a free transfer.

Juventus and the Viola are sworn enemies, but have completed several transfer deals in the last couple of years, including Fabrizio Miccoli, Enzo Maresca and Giorgio Chiellini.

Source: Football Italia

although he wasnt good, he was young and could have improved.

just greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat from capello, stick with old DM-s :(
Agree..
Blasi plays with heart.
I just hope that we get rid of Vieira, he has been a liability this past season.
I really hope that Juve's management have put two plans, one for Serie A and another for Serie B. Coz if they haven't they will not have enough time to react in the transfer market after the verdict is out.

Good riddance.

And a nice big shout out goes to Capello for not sticking with Tacchinardi, a player who is better than every single one of these dunderheads.

Anyway he is definitely not a caliber for Juve.Fact.It is not Capello as we might think that Cepello is guilty for everything concerning our loved Juve.
Blasi is just a less than average player. Not better than that.
He is good for Fiorentina or ...... ,but not for Juve.

And about the replayed report Maresca and Miccoli were and are Juve players ,so that were not transfers but loans to Fiorentian and nothing more than that.
Maybe is good for Blasi to go in cluib where he could play and not to warm the bench. It is not a pity for him.Juve got "hundreds" of players like him who can not wait to enroll in Juve.So ,let him go.
