I can't believe no one has posted here about this game yet. this game is amazing. one of the best games this year (and of all time imo), and it is certainly a must play. This game has it all. Amazing visuals,, fantastic art, great music, captivating atmosphere. moral dilemmas, great gameplay.

I'm about 8 hours in so far. the story is really interesting, and the sense of desperation, claustrophobia, and tragedy this game creates is amazing.

anyone else played this game?

If you are curious if your PC can run this game (or other games) check out this site:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

it does a search of your system and tells you in seconds if your PC can run specific games. It's a great tool for PC game noobs( like me) who want to know how good is their system. A warning though, the system is not 100% accurate. For example it said i did not meet the minimum requirements to run call of duty 4, when in fact I could run it fine on good settings.

Hey could you tell me something? I want to know how long I have until I finish the game. I am at the part right after I encounter Atlas and his family in the submarine. I am now in the garden area. do I have still a long way to go?

Most unrealistic nonsensical ill-contrived game I have ever played...

It took me 6 hours to beat it, and the things with the guns? NOT realistic, but I like the plot line, if it were just not gay with those special powers and shit like that.

but that's the fun of the game!! if it were just another game with just guns, then it would be just a generic game.

I think this is officialy best game for 2007:shifty:

Games like this scare the shit out of me, I'm not even gonna download it. I still get the bejusus scared out of me when I think of F.E.A.R.

If it's a FPS it's gotta be against humans, like Call of Duty or Medal of Honor, otherwise I'm not playing. I don't need some shitass zombie screaming his lungs of trying to suck on my neck popping out of every dark corner. Screw that, give me an AK47 and let me blast my way through some nazi ass.

I don't like horror games as well but this game is not exactly a full horror game.

It's not a zombie game. The enemies in Bioshock are fully aware adult (and children) humans. their faces are scarred and burned and twisted as a result of the genetic agumantation they made. You actually come to feel sorry for them in someway, because the game world which is being slowly destroyed, and the need to have more Adam (the stuff that gives them powers) is making them go crazy (just listen to the way the enemies talk to themselves, to others. and fight withing themselves)

The game is creepy though. More so because of the empty huge spaces, the slowly drowning world and the claustorphobia it creates, and not because of the enemies.

The atmosphere is what creeps me out, doesn't matter if a zombie is the enemy or a genetically mutated human(is there a difference? :p ). Because of the atmosphere F.E.A.R. is the scariest game I ever played and I only managed to get to level 5. It became too much for me. That eeriness, dark places, creepy music and the visions of that little girl popping out of nowhere...Dude I'm falling off my chair. :D

I don't doubt this is a good game but these creepy atmospheres just don't do it for me. I have weak nerves.

that is one of the reasons why this game is so great, I am sick and tired of fpss, I hope medal of honor was the last ww2 game; it's important a game has a story, that's why I like bioshock, stalker and crysis(in that order)
