Another busy week for Juventus loanees kicked off with some excellent news for Matteo Liviero. The young defender, who recently underwent kidney surgery, made his long-awaited return to action in a training ground friendly organised by Perugia.
Over in Bologna, the Rossoblu’s Coppa Italia game against Livorno and championship clash with Atalanta were decided by goals from Bianconeri loan prospects Cristian Pasquato and Manolo Gabbiadini. Frederik Sorensen also featured for Pioli’s men against the Nerazzurri, but was forced to depart the action after picking up an injury following the restart.
In Serie B, Manuel Giandonato’s strike was unable to prevent Vicenza from slipping to defeat against Vercelli. Elsewhere, Brescia’s victory over Verona featured strong performances from Fausto Rossi and Ouasim Bouy.
In Lega Pro, Feralpi caused an impressive upset by overcoming heavily fancied Lecce 4-0, with Bianconeri midfielder Carlo Ilari taking the plaudits for a fine display.
