Juventus youngster Manolo Gabbiadini opened his Bologna account in Sunday’s 3-0 home victory over Palermo. The 20-year-old, who completed a summer move from Atalanta before being loaned out to the Rossoblu, struck from the spot on the stroke of half time.
Ciro Immobile, on loan at Genoa, was unable to prevent his side from slipping to a 3-1 defeat against Sampdoria, but did find the target with a late consolation at the Luigi Ferraris.
Elsewhere, Richmond Boakye struck his fourth of the season as Sassuolo drew 1-1 against Brescia. Lining up against the Ghanaian forward was Ouasim Bouy, who won plenty of admirers with a strong second-half performance.
Luca Castiglia was also among the goals, with the 23-year-old forward helping Vicenza to a 2-1 victory over Novara.
Goalkeeper Timothy Nocchi played his part in Juve Stabia’s 3-2 away win over Spezia, while Nicola Leali put in a noteworthy performance in spite of Virtus Lanciano’s home defeat to Bari.
Making his debut for the hosts was French prospect Prince Gouano.
