The Bianconeri’s strong second-half performance enabled them to overturn Cagliari’s advantage and claim three points from a potentially tricky encounter.
It was no less than Antonio Conte’s men deserved after laying siege to the Rossoblu goal following the interval, recording 22 shots (compared to Cagliari’s four) and calling Agazzi into action on 11 occasions.
The visitors’ dominance was also reflected in the number of corners (6-1) and overall possession (64%).
Individually speaking, the introductions of Alessandro Matri and Mirko Vucinic were fundamental in edging the Bianconeri back into the encounter.
Despite being on the field of play for just 17 minutes, Vucinic recorded six shots on goal, closely followed by former Rossoblu frontman Matri with four. Trailing the Juventus substitutes were Cagliari striker Mauricio Pinilla on three and Kwadwo Asamoah on two.
As far as the Bianconeri’s precision was concerned, Leonardo Bonucci topped the completed passes index with 74, closely followed by Andrea Barzagli and Andrea Pirlo on 73 and 69 respectively.
