Antonio Conte has granted the Bianconeri a day’s rest following last night’s 6-1 success in Pescara.
With an important triple header of fixtures kicking off with next Saturday’s visit of Lazio, Conte will use the lack of midweek action as the ideal opportunity to focus his troops on the Biancocelesti, whilst also keeping one eye on the upcoming clashes with Chelsea and Milan.
The manager will, however, be without a selection of players called up for international duty.
Devis Mangia has named Luca Marrone in his Italy Under-21 squad for the home encounter with Spain on Tuesday 13 November in Siena, while Paul Pogba will feature for the French Under-20s against Ukraine.
A host of international friendies involving several Bianconeri will be contested on Wednesday 14 November: Chile v Serbia, Tunisia v Switzerland, Poland v Uruguay and Turkey v Denmark. Arturo Vidal, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Martin Caceres and Nicklas Bendtner have all been selected by their respective nations.
Azzurri coach Cesare Prandelli is expected to confirm his squad for Wednesday’s friendly against France later on today.
Conte will welcome back the remainder of his group on Monday at 3pm.
