Gray, did you put 191 dollars? or is that the possible win?

EDIT: oh I should scroll before asking :D ... you really put 191 dollars...you lousy gambler ;) :D
:embarass: Yeah, but the only reason I put so much money down these days is because I drastically reduced the number of crazy multiplier bets I make and concentrate on singles now. I've been frustrated too many times by 1 lousy team costing me the week's winnings (seriously about $700 in the past month or so). So my bets are much safer now, and I feel that I can afford to put more down ;)

Results from last week:

Staked: 191.00
Returned: 235.70
Profit/Loss: +44.70

Again I was frustrated by some very unexpected results, such as Stuttgart losing to pathetic Freiburg.

This week's punts:
Staked: 70
Returned: 0
Profit/Loss: -70

singles?what're those?:D

i bet on arsenal drawing and chelsea winning, got the number of goals right as well in the milan and chelsea match, bet on a handicap for bremen and correctly predicted half-time full-time scores for the arsenal match as well.

the only bet i got wrong was staking 10 on 3 goals in the anderlecht match.

Hehe, I'm a bit more conservative these days (in terms of betting strategy, not amount staked), playing mostly singles. They're much safer and less frustrating. Take my accumulator for example. If Ajax don't win tonight, it'll cost me $78.50. On the other hand, if Ajax win I'll be happy about the $78.50, but pissed that Inter couldn't win at home when they won 5-1 away. Accumulators make me angry sometimes :fero:

btw I feel like a genius because of my two multipliers, I placed $5 on the first one, then wasn't sure if Inter could win, so I made another accumulator without Inter, and put down a bigger stake. The rest of the matches in the acca won :D Not a big deal I guess, but it still brought a smile to my face ;)

btw I'd highly recommend putting a bet on UNDER for the Deportivo-Liverpool match.

In 3 matches, Liverpool have scored 2 goals and conceded 1, while Depor have scored 0 and conceded 2. Add to that the fact that Liverpool have lost Djibril Cisse for the rest of the season, and I can understand why they only gave me $1.63 on the UNDER bet.

Who knows, Tristan and Baros could grab a brace each, leaving me with my foot in my mouth... but you gotta admit the past results make it a pretty safe bet ;)

over here betting's much more user friendly:stress:

what the hell are accumulators and multipliers i don't know:p
Oh :embarass:

Single = placing a bet on the result of a single match.
Accumulator = same thing as a multiplier, just a different name for it. You choose a certain number of matches, and the odds for those matches are multiplied e.g. betting on the result of two matches, both with odds of 2.0, will give you odds of 4.0 :) See the screenshot of my spreadsheet if u don't understand, I've got the amount staked, the odds and the potential dividend in the columns next to the bets.

Accumulators make for potentially very big payouts for a small stake, but a trap that a lot of people who are new to betting fall into, is to place lots of tiny bets on outrageous multipliers. This could work every once in a while, but in the long term it's hardly a wise method of betting, since football is so unpredictable

I havent bet for a week, I'm on a clod streak, I havent won anything in the new season. Barcelona screwed me over last week, when they drew with Espanyol :(

i wish they offered multipliers here, because me and my friends preict the scores for just about every match during weekends and CL matchdays and i usually do quite well.:)

anyhoo i'm making a killing now so...:D

anyways have you encountered times when you make a bunch of predictions and only bet on half of those, yet the ones you buy come out horribly wrong and you realize the ones you didn't buy were all correct?

it's happened so many times i can't believe it:wallbang:

So they only offer singles over there? I'm sure you can find a place that offers multipliers..

I don't normally ask this, but now I'm curious: how much do you bet? Earning $126 on singles alone is pretty good.

Of course, it happens to everyone :irritate: I don't let it get to me though, because nobody except myself was stopping me from betting on those matches, so it obviously means that I was less sure of the matches that happened to be right. I try my best not to pay attention to what could have been, but I know, it's bloody hard :D
