Yes we will Fabi, or at least we will on the ride down there. ;)

It's going to be a long night though, travelling through downtown DC. Hopefully Seven won't get his wish and there won't be a terrorist attack tomorrow.
don't worry man,it's safe I asked them about that

Well, that was one hell of a night.

After we exited the stadium after a wondeful match we walked around to Tunnel C where the Chelsea player bus was located, one of the first few fans to walk up to the fencing around the player exit. After waiting for about 30 minutes, down the tunnel we saw a person in a Chelsea track suit start walking up the ramp. Low and behold it was Carlo Cudicini. He put his bag on the bus, and came up to the fans to start signing autographs. Fortunately I did not listen to Burke and we waited out that 30 minutes.

After Carlo graciously gave me his autograph on the program I bought for 10 bucks, somebody started to shout "Didier". Drogba was coming up the ramp as well to sign autographs, and this time I brought out my old Chelsea jersey that was subject to my abuse during the entire match...it even ended up on the floor, used as a makeshift carpet. Now the jersey acted as a piece of autograph paper. Drogba didn't speak a word besides muttering something to a guy saying "Merci." His autograpgh was rather dodgy.

Then more and more started to walk up periodically, first SWP whose sig was just a ridiculous CP type thing, then Joe Cole, Wayne Bridge, and Glenn Johnson. They were alright, and I guess Wayne-O did not hear the abuse Burke and I were giving him during his horrible display. "Be careful Bridge, that transfer list is only one signature away."

As more and more people started to gather, Eidur Gudjohnson came up to greet the fans. He did not seem very happy, yet he decided to sign some autographs, unlike Damian Duff who sat on his ass in the bus looking rather disgruntled.

Finally the two players I wanted to meet the most, John Terry and Frank Lampard walked up to the fans. A guy behind me knew Terry personally and called him up to ask John to come out and see him. After Terry signed my shirt, I shook his hand and said good luck next season, unless you face Juventus. Same with good old Frank Lampard. His autograph consists of a straight line forming both an F and an L, with the rest of his cursive flowing nicely behind it in somewhat legible fashion. Terry and Lampard seem like good guys.

After that, a guy said they needed to be on their way, so they departed for BWI airport. It was nice of the few who came out to sign for us, and I think they owe it to the fans that attended the match and give them support. I also owed a "thank you" to the kid who passed me his sharpie pen for us to use. Even though I'll never be a Chelsea fan, I'm glad I stuck around for that. Pretty good night.

    Of course he did
    Actually he did. :D

On Wednesday we called up the Mandarin and asked if a Cole was staying there, and the operator said they had a Charlton and Joe Cole in their books. They patched Burke through to Joe's room like he was just some average Joe. I left messages with Jose Mourinho and Lampard. The staff there had no clue who these people were, and I'm sure if we went to the hotel on Wednesday we could have met a few of them.

Then when we were getting autographs Burke yelled down to Joe Cole "Hey Joe, did you recieve a threatening message last night?" To our absolute amazement Joe looked up promptly and responded "Yeah was that you, mate?" Burke replied "I don't know." After shaking Joe Cole's hand I asked him how was his stay at the Mandarin, and he looked at Burke and I with a rather suspicious face. He replied "I liked it very much mate." I don't know if he was pissed off or what, however he didn't seem too threatened by Burke.

I just can't believe they got the messages and we met them face to face the next day. That's just friggin amazing and I guess my planning worked out okay in the end. ;)

I took a few pictures on my shitty cell phone camera, and I have a couple crappy closeups of Lampard and Drogba. Should have remembered a disposable camera..

    Kick off

That sounded like an awesome experience :)

If I were you Id sell the shirt on eBay but charge a lot for it. What is better some autographs of players you like but are not necesarily your favourite or some extra cash?

I didnt know NE Revolution was #1 on the eastern conference!

Well, it will be interesting to see how much I could get for the signed shirt. However holding on to it wouldn't be a bad idea either..

Dude, a lot of people were shouting at Mourinho, including Burke and I. ;)
That comment I heard came out really loud though. It was loud on television and the commentators were laughing. "That must be an Arsenal fan"

    It was funny.
