schillachi..tht reminds me..
he wasnt a juventus regular when he got picked for the 1990 world cup or was he?
i remember reading something along these lines a long time back.
was he not a regular..or was he underperforming?
Actually the only season where he has been a regular at Juve was 1989/90. He's scored his fair share of goals, which earned him a spot in the 22 at the WC. But after that it all went downhill.
u rate his pair with barros as the best...on the basis of 1 season?was that 1 season good enough to call his pairing with barross one of the best in juve's history?
and didnt inter win the league in 1989/90?

You must have missed the sarcasm, but no, Napoli won the league in the last day of the season that year. Juve fought for the 4th place (i.e. Uefa Cup) with the likes of Roma and Samp. However they made up by lifting the Uefa Cup by beating Baggio's Fiorentina in the final and the Coppa. Ahh, those were the days.
dp-trez is a pretty good pairing.
somehow calling them the best in juventus's histrory doesnt seem right.
the inzaghi and dp one always seemed more lethal to me..
maybe bcoz it was an all italian pairing..
and the fact that pippo and dp didnt get along too well off the pitch makes the stuff they did on the pitch even more admirable.

I can never forget Schillaci from WC90. What a world cup he had? Everytime you'd think all hope was last, he'd somehow pop up, and put the rebound in. He was unstoppable. Thats until the night against Argentina came along, when his goal wasnt enough. To the best of my knowledge, he moved on to Jubilo Iwata by the time WC94 came along.
