I just came across an old digitized video clip of one of my all time favorite bands -- and one of the most subversive, reluctant video bands -- The Replacements. The video for "Alex Chilton", complete with stationary b&w shots of the band members sitting on chairs, eating sandwiches, and checking their watches continued their tradition of giving the big middle finger to MTV and their ilk, making videos just to fulfill their recording contract obligations. :thumb:
